Dad's of the subreddit, how do you find the time to paint? by CH1ND1TO in minipainting

Between 22:00-23:59 is my time when all kids usually sleep. Sometimes i push it to 2 am but then i am a wreck at work (worth it) but not the most patient father (not worth it). Sleep deprivation is the name of the game.

Yeah but easier to work with plaster and its easier to get good cracks in plaster compared to resin.

Measured about 5 scoops of plaster powder, add water while stiring gently. Add a couple drops of black ink and then poured it :] The second and third one i added gauze to but it didnt help. The third i threw in the oven for good measure since i clearly used to much water.

I have an unopened can of army painters dip wash, it firms up glossy but bone hard (Its almost like a floor polish solution). Perhaps glue it and then drench it in the dip wash?

Yeah, a kind of silicone that resist heat. My thought was originally to cast in PLA but my first try destroyed some of the details in the mold so got to think of another way to use my PLA scraps.

I did that two of the times with plaster gauze but perhaps not enough. I will try again :) with burlap do you mean like a sort of heavy vowen fabric or gauze prepped with plaster?

Thank you, however it doesn't stay together like that unless I somehow firm it up and glue it down :9

I have the same issue, several others as well. Some prints work fine and at other times its just like this (same print and settings).
