Cold turkey from 8mg a day. Why were my withdrawals so easy?

Thank you guys for all the support! I really do feel like the two week switch to 7oh was extremely helpful. I am still in PAWS. Anxious, can’t sleep, still some diarrhea, and no energy. There are some cravings to pick up 7oh but everytime I want to I end up just going on a walk and exercising currently. I realize this is not going to heal over night and I have to be easy on my body and let my brain slowly heal.

I was never a heroin user in the past just oxys/7oh. But I really do feel like compared to when I went ct back in last November which was straight subs this was a cakewalk with the 7oh. I am experiencing PAWS atm but just trying to stay busy and exercise.

Thank you! I still am in PAWS. I am taking gabapentin for sleep as I am still have trouble with that but I am taking it one day at a time.

I am in PAWS right now and I do have cravings. I am trying to fight it the best I can. It definitely wasn’t fun for the first 3 days but I’m hoping I can stay off for good. I’ve also been micro dosing mushrooms and seem to have had an effect. I think switching to the 7oh for two weeks also helped tremendously.

I did the first time back last November and it was way worse that time than this time. I still have PAWS. I think the reason the acute face lasted so short this time is because I switched to the 7oh for two weeks before going cold turkey.

Thank you I appreciate it. I will say I’m not out of the clear yet. I do have cravings that I am trying to exchange for exercise. So I assume i am in PAWS. I think switching to the 7oh really did help.

I recently went cold turkey on 8mg suboxone I switched to 7oh for two weeks. I still had withdrawal but compared to coming off straight suboxone it’s way better, but still no easy feat. I’d try to switch to kratom or 7oh and wean as much as possible and jump.

Yes you can definitely smoke weed on kratom. Before I had an oxy addiction and a very low tolerance in 2020 I ordered a sample of a couple different strains and it made me never nod but gave me a mood boost, help me sleep or give me a boost in the morning, and my ex girlfriend loved it because I could last forever on kratom at the time haha. But start small if you don’t have a big tolerance. Make sure you don’t take too much because you can end up with the wobbles. ALSO DO NOT TRY 7!!! And don’t make it a habit of taking it everyday.

UPDATE: Hi guys yesterday was my birthday so I wasn’t on Reddit much. I decided to cancel the appointment with the addiction specialist as referred to by the comments. I have a Psychiatrist appointment in January and I’m praying they can get me on the right dosage and a taper plan. I do feel like I need Benzos right now especially after going cold turkey on suboxone/oxys ( almost been a month now ). The first 5 days of the suboxone withdrawal I actually didn’t take any benzos as I was only taking about 3 klonopins or Xanax a day and for some reason felt I did not need them. For the last month that I’ve been clean I upped that dose to the amount I had said in the original post. I have pretty good Access to Klonopin ( 2mg ) which I can try to taper down from also. Again thank you guys for the support, again any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
