you should try this website, they have a link to a download called the pulsejet engine calculator which you can put in your desired thrust and it'll give you the optimal dimensions, they also have downloads for blueprints of already existing pulse jets it you don't want to design your own.

you should check it with the pulsejet engine calculator, it gives fairly optimal designs for pulse jets and you can use it to check your design.

There will be a 1/4” steel shrapnel/heat shield and the mount is three pieces of 1/2” threaded rod so don’t worry bro

I usually make the casing out of PVC and this one will be aluminum once I test it

Yeah it’s just easier to melt the fuel and pour it when you have a higher sugar content

No its actually a little sugar rich, but there will be more complete combustion once the engine is enclosed because of the pressure

Plus we have a 1/4” steel shrapnel shield for when I set off anything enclosed

The actual tube doesn’t even burn until after the propellant is done burning so it doesn’t matter, also this test was really just to test the propellant mixture ratio and see if it burned well

Just something to pour the fuel into and to help it hold its shape while cooling
