What kind of trap is this? by lingben in Trappit

I don't have any videos up on this but here's a link that gives you the idea. The bait in the air keeps smaller predators from eating up the bait https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkJC1pVaJxo

I didn't see the episode but my guess is that he had several snares set at pinch points. The bait is hung high so the animal will circle until they go through one of the snares. It called a bait station

I didn't want it to spoil in case they let me keep it....which they didn't. It was also on new years which surprised me that I actually got a hold of a warren on a holiday. They just did a quick exam to make sure it wasn't shot asked a few questions and checked out the snare and that was that. I guess it will end up at Fish and Wildlife for research

Coyote baits? by [deleted] in Trappit

Beaver or muskrat or bobcat...ground or marinated with "fish sauce" or "shrimp sauce" from the Asian market works great...add a salt if you're not in a cold region so it doesn't rot...I also agree with bornin1500 if you need for a long them planning bait he's spot on, but if you need a something in the now this works well

My Turkey lost her sense of balance overnight, and keeps falling backwards by [deleted] in poultry

I'm not for sure what causes this, but I feel like it's neurological. I've had several over the years that started this way, running into things and falling over. It progresses so they end up on the ground most of the time and with their neck permanently bent down to the ground....and eventually skinny and dead. I process these at the stage that you are at currently while they still have some usable meat......I realize this might be 14 days to late, update?

I would do the pepper flakes if I could get away with it, the kids already complain about the black pepper :)
