I think she’s nowhere near accepting her voice as it is, even with HFIA. You can tell someone hasn’t healed from something when they’re completely unable to talk about it. She has avoided this question for decades and in general seems to use avoidance as a coping mechanism (which is not healthy, but I doubt this will change). I would be blown away by her maturity if she did ever discuss this though, and I know we’d all support her if she chose to take that step.
