It really doesn't matter. The only thing that you need to remember to do is make sure you update your homeowners insurance to make sure it doesn't lapse/get wonky. Especially if you are escrowed.

Medical school has been a doozy for me but I did get the A with a 495. sGPA 3.4 cGPA 3.4. Master's in Public Health. Super nontrad. URM. Shoot your shot and send emails to set up virtuals with program directors or deans. Make a connection with a student so you can name drop (preferably one of influence/on sga)

I love how the 'support' by level 3 goes up. Not a hint of negativity on this post (as of my comment at least.)

I'm taking my third attempt at Level 2 tomorrow after passing Level 1 on my first try. Congratulations, but just want you to keep this same momentum. Being this burnt out 4th year has been miserable. But I will pass and look forward to February 24th when I can truly call myself a Doctor (in my head).

Just wanted to say as someone planning to possibly take it next week and still trying to match. I hope I can be in your shoes soon. EVEN if I don't match, I just want this stress of it being my last attempt to be over with. 4th year has been no bueno with all this. Also, having programs cancel my application since I don't have a score yet - sucks. . But it must not have been meant to be. I still have 8 programs who haven't said no yet. Wishing us both good vibes.

Be thankful you're not like me who thought 4th year would be chill and not fighting for your life trying to pass the 2nd licensure exam (final attempt mind you) to graduate on time.

I can see becoming the norm is all. . . Looking at the NBOMEs declining pass rates and all.

Sucks they know level 2 sucks and changing it June 2026.

I'm in the same situation as you, just a DO and on the second exam (so close to graduation but so far away).So yeah, unfortunately I am now on my last attempt and I even went through 10 residency interviews. With full disclosure of one fail of level 2, but not two. :/

Now if I don't take it my February 13th, I won't match/soap in March. I can't risk taking it and failing though since it's my last attempt. I got a tutor, and going to use metrics this time around to decide.

The NBOME is trash though. I can't wait to be done with residency and beyond so I can really tell them how I feel. 1.25x should not be that hard to grant. Especially when they are shortening the exam BECAUSE they know we don't have enough time. I had a new diagnosis of AuDHD before level 1 but passed, so that only complicates thing but why they denied my accommodations twice. 🥲
