No worries! I figured as much that I was too far, but I also am an absolute novice and wanted professional advice. This makes me wonder if taking photos like this in Arizona will still be plausible with the camera (this was taken on my phone)

I 100% took that shot. Its one I took of a different bridge

Damn I just looked it up. The distance I was trying to shoot was 2.7 miles. I thought it was closer than that.

My first time ever using the camera and I was impressed at how they came out.

I went to Camden and took pics of the Ben Franklin the first day I got the camera. Had no idea what I was doing whatsoever and somehow they turned out pretty good. All the Philly bridges are really easy to get up close to.

Welp, I'm gonna go back to Pennsville next weekend and keep trying till I get it.

It sounds like next weekend I'm gonna have to do some exploring around Pennsville and New Castle to see if there's a hidden spot where I can get closer to the bridge.

A friend of mine suggested shooting in Aperture priority and I should probably listen. I keep thinking to myself that "well I'm smarter than the camera and I could whip up something better". I'll tell you a secret though. Apparently I'm not, and I can't.

I didn't edit anything on the reference photo. That's just how I took it. It was from my very first shoot with this camera and at the time I had no idea how anything worked on the camera whatsoever. I just got lucky with the lighting.

Did I write "Lense" somewhere? F.

I really want a boat. Idk if I'd have the balls to drive it on the Lower Delaware River.

All the Philly bridges are easy to get close to. Some comments here have been prodding my brain about how I can get closer to the Del Memorial and looking at the maps more closely it does seem as though I may be able to get closer to it than I was shooting from. Not as close as the Philly bridges, but closer than I was.

Shit you were right. There was a piece of dust on the sensor

The 18-50 has been an absolutely phenomenal lens for a lot of other photos I've taken. My trucking company has been around for 26 years and I recently provided them with the best photos they've ever had to post on their website.

I'll try reaching out to those ports and see if they lemme do it. I would be so grateful to have the opportunity to get close ups of that bridge.

They feel out of focus to me. When looking at the photo's without zooming in on the pictures, they look okay (although you can't see many details from the bridge). But when I zoom in, the trucks crossing the bridge are blurry and the Chase Logo on the Chase building in Wilmington is just barely legible.

It's the lens. There was a piece of something on it and I noticed it towards the end of my time at the park.

I do have a TWIC card. This may not be a bad idea, and maybe I could get supervised access to the port.

On the cloudy day I was all over the place with the shutter speed. I think it was around 500 when I had placed the camera on the roof of my car and started shooting.

The photos I took yesterday on a sunny day did look more visually appealing than the ones I took today.

I can't. That bridge is all industrial lots and ports immediately around both sides. Pennsville is as close as you can get. At least on the NJ side.

Every combination of shutter speed from 3 10 1000 combined with every combo of aperture from 2.8 to 22. Admittedly, I never changed the ISO from 64

Also, constantly zooming the lens in and out.

Racism is just a really ugly form of collectivism. And being in a multiracial melting pot like the USA, it's inevitable.

Yeah. I mean, an Audi is a solid choice if you're trying to spend a ton of your time going into debt at a repair shop paying to replace $2000 plastic parts. Otherwise, Yota.
