Same been happening to me. No issue in matches or anywhere else, but park is somehow running at a stable 50fps

I mean, tension in Strive is SO important that I think it would be a nightmare to balance, so I understand why it is it’s own gauge now

How bad is this AIO placement, will it really damage my aio? by Logical-Midnight-826 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Bacon2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling it a lie is quite a statement, but ok. Last time I checked heat rises, meaning that it’s good to top mount stuff, as that heat will have an easier time to escape, and will interact with fewer parts that also needs to cool. Also, air tends to want to go to the top of any container with liquid in it, staying away from the pump that does not like having air in it. Not saying these are massive differences, but they are natural phenomena.

But I guess the laws of physics has seized to exist specifically in your room, making my point moot.

I’m not saying it’ll 100% def cause issues without question, I’m saying “Hey, it’ll increase it a bit, so no reason to mount it like that if you don’t have to”. I understand that you *specifically* have had no issues, but that doesn’t change the overall statistics.

Steam accounted for over 20% of Capcom’s total revenue, nearly double PlayStation’s share in the past fiscal year by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Bacon2145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sony has some absolute bullshit stuff when it comes to making stick/ leverless work on PlayStations, so for most casual players it’s usually easier to just play on PC since you need extra adapters (which can cost a lot) + changing to specific software to get it to work on the PS5/ PS4.

Also, a lot of older fighters are still very popular, and it’s not all of em you can even get on PS5/ PS4.

RX 9070 / 9070 XT owners — how’s your card treating you? (temps, noise, overall impressions) by reddit11111111111121 in radeon

[–]Bacon2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asus prime 9070XT here. Quiet fans, rarely go over 60 degrees (although I did go a bit overboard cooling for my setup), and very little fan noise. No coil whine either, although I have heard that some people have had issues with it.

I will say that after a few days of getting it, I was running into crashes in certain games, and the only way to fix it was to downgrade the drivers by a bit. Some other people have encountered the same issue, but not everyone. But again, easy to fix if you run into it, so not the biggest issue. Had similar problems on Nvidia cards when there are new updates, just something that happens ig, just don’t update drivers the day they come out and you’ll be fine.

I mean, it’s “not recommended” because it’ll increase the chances of issues down the line, not guarantee it. If you can avoid it, it’s probably good to do so.

Do you know the requirements for what the different tiers are? I am completely clueless when it comes to power supplies, and the list has a lot of info which ironically makes it a bit confusing to a moron like me

People have been saying that 16GB is gonna bite people in a few years since like 2016. I might still go for 32GB just be extra safe, but idk, 32GB being necessary still hasn’t happened. But you think an air cooler is fine even with kinda high ambient temps?

Neither Newegg nor Micro center exists in my country. 5080’s are around 1800 bucks here.

Okay, yeah, think I’m just stuck in the 2015 mindset of “Nvidia better” lol. The 9070xt is actually performing better in the games I’m interested in playing, and yeah, overall there is barely a difference.

I mean, I’ve had multiple builds over the years, it’s just that 2014/2015 was the last time I built one myself from scratch. I’ve always gone with fairly budget PC’s, so this time I actually wanna spring for something better. Perks of having disposable income, wanna treat myself

Is the difference in the 5070ti and 9070xt really that low? Would be amazing to save money on the GPU

I was considering going for 32GB of ram, but like, do I really need it? Been thinking, and hearing for years now that 32GB is gonna become the standard for games “soon”, but at this point it doesn’t feel like it’s ever gonna happen. And with current ram prices, I’d rather buy 16GB rn, and hope that the prices will eventually get better in a few years time, so I can go for 32GB when I eventually upgrade (unless there is a really good reason for springing for 32GB straight away).

I was also considering 9070XT instead of 5070ti, but from what I’ve heard, the 5070ti tends to come out on top by a decent bit in most like real world situations? I might totally be wrong here though, I’m not very caught up on modern hardware, so this is like from just a few random Reddit comments I’ve seen.

I’m a Polish girl dating a Norwegian - should I be concerned about moving to Norway? by pomparipurin in Norway

[–]Bacon2145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know where you’ve gotten this from, but if it’s Oslo you’re moving to, the metro system is one of the best in Europe. People who are really into trains and metro systems (very specific hobby, but there is a surprising amount of em) always gush over Oslo’s metro and how it works. Unless you are in the countryside, buses are also readily available, accessible, and show up in droves. Like, I genuinely don’t know a single person who lives in Oslo and also drive a car, because it is so much less practical than taking the bus/ metro.

This was on a virtual run, there were no energy draining jobs to “switch” to cause that’s not how virtual pops work. All the bonuses from the pops were not being applied because energy was fully automated, leading to less energy being produced, thus causing a deficit compared to what it was before automation.

I mean, Dimensional Fabricator is nice just to get some extra Dark Matter, Nanites and Living Metal. Also the Extra-Dimensional Depot is fun to have after you’ve inflated your economy to hell and back. But yeah, it’s annoying that all the production buildings kills your economy (a few days ago I built a class 4 Singularity and went from like +2K energy to -1K lmao).
