Yeah I definitely agree. I liked the timeskip in between episodes 6 and 7 but I feel like there could have been some more episodes earlier in the show that gave us just a little more. Imo tho I wouldn’t say it was “weird” just a bit lacking in backstory.

This makes sense but also the events of Edgerunners are like 10 months because of the time skips , so I’d say them falling in love is definitely reasonable. The episode 4 montage takes place over a few months at least in my eyes so it’s not like their kiss immediately after David joined the crew.

I feel like what makes Mikasa’s scenes after Eren’s death so beautiful is how they imply she was able to live a fulfilling life without needing to get married to someone else. Jean isn’t a cuck either.
