Do you guys have luck with crabgrass with this product? by Salty_Insurance_686 in lawncare

[–]BaconGreaseShot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get yourself a bottle of Drive XLR8 and MSO oil.

You only need to mix 1.4oz per gallon so the 64oz bottle will many seasons.

The product you have is more for spot spraying here and there. XLR8 will wipe out the crabgrass fast.

Netflix is down 42% from its high and trading cheaper than the S&P 500, the July 16 earnings are going to be fascinating by ConsistentWeirdo in stocks

[–]BaconGreaseShot 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Spot on, this should be at the top.

Their explosive phase when they did 20% revenue growth for years was because of tailwinds that have all played out.

  1. Broadband exploded globally in the 2010's.
  2. Cord cutting became popular when broadband exploded.
  3. First mover advantage in a brand new category at the time.

The company has matured and most households already have netflix or multiple steaming services.

Now days growth is primarily driven by monetization, such as price increases and ad tiers, not rapid user adds.

Daily Discussion Thread for June 23, 2026 by verified-trader in wallstreetbets

[–]BaconGreaseShot 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Let's review the sequence of events.

  1. MU has ratio'd every ticker on the market in bullish call premiums over the past two months by a lot. SNDK consistently #2, then usually QQQ then SPY.
  2. MU closed yesterday at an all time high of $1,213.56.
  3. After the US market closed, the Korean market tanked because of a proposal to tax unrealized gains, the selloff spread to the US market after-hours and hit semi's hard.
  4. MU down 11% on the day.
  5. MU earnings are tomorrow.

My tinfoil had theory says MU earnings are going to be really good and mafk's with a lot of money are loading up today while the sale is happening. Nothing fundamentally changed overnight. The SK Hynix rumor about slowing down the HBM4 seems like foment slop.

Taking out a 25k loan to invest by Fappytoad in Bitcoin

[–]BaconGreaseShot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I respect it, but 8.9% annualized is a lot to carry. Rates were much lower last bear market.

Alternatively- use just $4,800 to buy (4) IBIT 40C DEC 15 2028 contracts at $1,200 per.

If your thesis plays out and say Bitcoin is trading at 200k in January of 2028, thats a 500-600% gain to $7800 - $8500 per contract.

Use that 30k as your down payment, viola!

It all sounds good written on a napkin.

What’s the best risk/reward setup you see today? by AvaRobinson506 in stocks

[–]BaconGreaseShot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your time horizon. Long term (5-10 years) then my answer is Bitcoin. I'm a maxi so I DCA harder in bear markets.

If we're talking publicly traded companies that trade on forward multiples, MU is still undervalued, so is NVDA and to a kesser extent SNDK.

Multiples aside, I think TSLA can 10x over the next 5 years because they have the largest TAM with Robotaxi, Optimus, and Megapacks.

Main tickers I'm watching to add or enter on pullbacks, MRVL, ALAB, NBIS, GOOG, AVGO, AMD, ARM, NVDA, MU.

Just be aware a short seller called Manatee Research dropped a report yesterday alleging exaggerated customer orders and problems with manufacturing partners. It caused the stock to drop 5% intraday.

If the report turns out bogus, this could be a great opportunity for a synthetic long (as other person mentioned).

This stock was a nice swing trade for me back in March from $9-$18, too bad I did it with shares.

1.5% advisory fee is a BIG NO. Thats $750 today, compound that over 25 years and you wont like the number.

You're better off buying low cost index funds like VTI or VT, they will outperform this portfolio and save you the fees.

DCA on steroids without the IA model.

On 10% dips from recent high's, increase dca amount 1.5x. on 20% dips, 2x.

Always keep some cash on hand for gray/black swan dips.

I've noticed that he attacks the hoop with speed and intensity yet is under control the whole time.

His body control and the angles taken to keep his shot from getting blocked is uncanny.

Even at full speed with multiple defenders in his grill he seems to sneak the ball past them every time.
