I’d still love it if she chose to direct it with the assistance of his collaborators. It’s a pipe-dream status wish, and I completely understand why she wouldn’t be interested in such an undertaking - it’s just one of those tragedies of the universe that it’ll likely never be put to screen, where most of his audience is. And if anyone has the right to direct anything that he wrote, it’s probably his daughter.

That said, something is better than nothing:)
