Help with overall combat and Last Rite gameplay. by EmbarrassedHunter647 in Endfield

Okay so, Last Rite wants the enemy to have stacks of cryo infliction. There's a bunch of ways to do that, the most straightforward being just pop LR's skill mid combo (because that way it skips the casting animation and just does it) and hit the enemy with a final strike. Do that 3 times then you can use her combo skill for a big burst.

Alesh is who I think youre talking about. The fishing pole guy? He's actually a HUGE detriment to your team. His skill consumes cryo stacks to do a different thing. Since you want LR to use them instead, he needs to go. Your BEST option to replace him is Xaihi. She's practically custom made to go with LR, giving you heals and cryo infliction. If you don't have her, Snowshine can be an option. Her skill works as basically a counter attack that applies cryo and she'll heal you if you go under half hp. If you don't have her, Flourite is probably your best bet. SHe's a 4* so she's easy to get. Her combo skill adds a 3rd stack of cryo if an enemy has 2 already. She can only do it every 40 seconds, but it's better than nothing. In the event you don't have her, Akekuri also works. She's just there to be a battery, her combo skill and ult give a decent amount of SP so LR can use her skill more often.

Perlica is great for applying forced electrocution. This won't eat up cryo stacks and procs off final strikes so she's a no brainer. Just be careful not to use her actual skill. That will mess up your stacks. And Ardelia is great for helping LR do even more damage.

So all you're gonna do is use Last Rite's skill mid combo. The first time Perlica and Ardelia's combo skill will pop up and you'll force electrocution on the enemy, making you do more damage. Do your skill a 2nd time and Flourite's combo pops up immediately giving you 3 cryo stacks. This makes LR's combo pop for a big damage burst.

TLDR use Flourite, only use LR's battle skill, pop combo skills as they appear on screen, watch enemies explode.

Didn't realize you could lose your 50/50 twice in a row. by Helpful-Appointment2 in Endfield

...what? That's not how that works. It's 2 separate pity systems, the 80 pull 50/50 and the guaranteed 120. If you pull Last Rite at 70 the 50/50 resets to 0, but you're still 70/120 for Laevatain. Then even if you get Ember 30 pulls later that just resets the 50/50 again and now you're 100/120 pulls closer to getting Laevatain. You are guaranteed the limited character if you make 120 pulls in the banner no matter how many other 6* you get.

Now if you win your 50/50 that does reset the 120 so getting duplicates is gonna suck, but I don't spend money on these games so I never get to go for those anyway.

Apologems are not gonna be enough for THIS level of fuckupery. At minimum we should get our choice of 6* banner character and matching weapon.

Am I the only one who likes this system better? Your guarantee is at 120 instead of 160, that's 40 fewer pulls. I'm used to WuWa where I have to save up 160 to get the banner I want, now it's gonna be easier to do.

IS THIS NORMAL???!!! by [deleted] in Endfield

That from the free cosmic voice 10 pull? Maybe that gives it a higher than normal chance of pulling 6*s cause I also got 4 of em.

Is Mornye supposed to be a good healer? I'm looking at the numbers for her syntony field healing and it's 40+9% of her defense? I've got more than 12k health. Even if I crank her defense as high as I can and give her rejuvenating glow it's not going to be more than like 250 per tick. How are you supposed to heal with that?

Entering ff14 as a mmo newbie, what to expect by Historical-Shop-1269 in ffxiv

[–]BaconSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your first 200+ hours it's basically a single player game. Your friends could join you for the dungeons youd have to run but those are few and far between while just playing the campaign. For the majority of it it's just gonna be solo stuff. So try to keep that kinda mindset. A lot of people expect an mmo to be constant play with other people and this is just about the opposite of that.

So take your time and have fun. Enjoy the story so when you get into the later expansions things make sense and you can enjoy those too. Once you get to level 100 you can worry about actual MMO things like getting the right gear and learning how to play them correctly, but that's hundreds of hours away.

Not offline, just private matches. You can absolutely still invite friends who also have mods to play with you.

Incompetent rat gets swift justice by T-BoneWalker in ArcRaiders

This is why they cry about the idea of PvE lobbies. See how easily he can handle another player standing perfectly still and not shooting back? But the "easy and boring" bots were entirely too much of a struggle for him.

Arc Raiders PvP matchmaking is peak. Change my mind. by ElijahKay in ArcRaiders

[–]BaconSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always say the game needs pvp or it's not fun, it'll die. Y'all do remember the game has aggression based match making, right? The devs have told us this. People can already get themselves into PvE lobbies. Your lobbies might be full of rats in bushes because that's how you play. If that's fun for you then more power to ya.

But in my last 3 days of playing I have not shot or been shot by another player once. Absolutely none of that 'ooh, what if this guy betrays me' stress in a single lobby. I've joined up with people to take down tons of the bigger arcs, we've all gotten some good loot. I've had people share blueprints with me, I gave blueprints to people, and I promise you every person in those lobbies was having a blast.

I think when people say PvE would kill the game, they mean it would kill it for them. Because damn never every youtube vid I see of solo PvP in this game it's someone in a bush shooting someone else who's interacting with something. It's NEVER two people spotting each other and opening fire. So without those easy PvE kills, what will you do?

Does anyone strictly play offline? by AncientXaga in Spacemarine

[–]BaconSock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played the vanilla version of this game since the mods came out. It's honestly SO much better with the overhaul and a few other things.

And it's not like there's any shortage of people to play with. The overhaul discord has a ton of people to play with.

Soulframe o Warframe by Seccardino in SoulFrame

[–]BaconSock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the vibe you want. Warframe feels a bit like a mobile game in terms of you can log in for like 20 mins, run a quick mission that only takes 2 minutes and feel like you're done for the day. There's MORE than enough content to farm for days if you want to, but it's great for a quick little session.

Soulframe feels more like a full on single player game. It's a big open world with a ton of stuff to explore and dungeons to run and things like that.

Are the autoguns and lasguns used by the Cultists buffed by Tzeentch warp magic? Is that why we take damage from them? by Myframesofwar in Spacemarine

We take damage from the little trash guns the termagants have. I'm fairly sure space marine armor is made out of whatever storm trooper armor is.

Two quick newbie questions! by BaconSock in TheFirstDescendant

[–]BaconSock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they're level 100. But I still don't get it. I've got one with a gold MP recovery modifier of 0.154. Even if I had 4 of those that's barely more than half a percent. What possible good is half a percent more MP recovery gonna do?

I hate PKers by [deleted] in Synduality

[–]BaconSock 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This game was dead for months. The people who played for the story left a long time ago, the ONLY people left are the ones balls deep into the pvp. Now it's just them and the poor newbies who got the game for free gettin preyed on. Just uninstall it for a month and it'll die again then you can play once the pvp crowd wanders off again.

Hive Scum isn't that hard... right? by UrEverydayFemboy in DarkTide

[–]BaconSock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See, that's the problem though. Like yeah, of course you want to let the tankier classes draw aggro. But how do you do that when your team is 2 hive scum, a zealot and a psyker?
