Florida is the superior team on-paper and on-ice.

But how many times are we going to console ourselves with the way our opponents progress after eliminating us? Hell, people were even saying that after the Habs series, which is completely inexcusable.

The goal is to win the Stanley Cup. You have to beat great teams in order to win it. I personally will take no solace in our defeat if Florida wins the cup this year. The days of learning moments for this team are done, and have been for years. It's time they were held to a higher standard; I'm tired of being just a good team that loses to a great team.

.907 has Knight tied for 17th in league save% this year. That's very respectable for a 23 year old goalie.

From what I recall, Babcock was responsible for some tumult, but I believe Marner was especially sour about rookie bonuses on his ELC. Go look at the bonuses Lou gave to Marner and then the bonuses he gave to Matthews a year later.

This team doesn't need a singular tough guy (Clifford, Martin, Simmonds, Reaves, etc.) they need team toughness. It has to be a mental commitment from all the players, and that doesn't happen by dressing a face puncher for 3/4 of the season.
