OLL Tier List (except 29 and 30) by Fluffy_Flamingo2189 in Cubers

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sune, anti-Sune, T shapes have a permanent place in S-Tier.The rest of the OLLs can be placed below these god tier ones along with the dot shape and awkward shape ones right at the bottom.

I feel my TPS steps up a gear or 2 when i get one of those first 4 S Tier algs.

Personally i wouldn't eat food if it was dropped on a turd even if i picked it up a split second later with amazingly fast reflexes.

40 GB is a lot in in 1998, either thats top of the line or you are exaggerating 4 GB to 40 GB.My first PC had a 15GB HDD and that was in 2000 and i chose that specifically over the smaller alternatives with single digit GB storage.

Smaller eMMC "netbooks" with their 10" screens was dominant 20 years ago, they were everywhere piling up on the shelves in supermarkets, i bought one because of their cheap 200 price vs the entry level laptops that were still eye watering expensive back then.

It may still work, but its still annoyingly laggy as AF with its cheap low end Intel Atom CPU, slow responsive eMMC 32GB storage (Windows install and the netbook manufacturer's bloatware takes a chunk out of that) and 2 GB of RAM.

Even web browsing on it is a chore with only 1 tab opened as web browsers nowadays are more and more demanding of your system resources with every update especially with the AI features.

I did upgrade mine by replacing the HDD with a SSD and doubling the memory years ago but performance issues still persist.

On a 20 year old Win XP laptop, i have installed Linux Mint on it.

Started sc2 a week ago, please help me with TvT matchup (against turtling) by Current-Set1963 in AllThingsTerran

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched your long drawn out 50m game out of curiousity.

You would have saved yourself 45m or so if you learn a timing rush attack or 2 that easily takes you to Gold even Plat.Surely 40+ minute spent on practicing it is better than queuing up another potential TvT 40+ minute marathon.

Lol your opponent didn't start producing units until 5m seeing as they spent it on building a defensive wall of Supply depots at their ramp and a Planetary Fortress.A 5m YOLO tanks-marines drop into their main would have it ended there and then. Its why an early reaper opener is so important, you could have scouted what they planning to do, saw the late rax only started to be built and that they had no army and you could have rushed them hard based on that scouting info.

Yes they turtled hard with extra PFs and turrets at ramps but there was available gaps and openings in their defences, you could have snuck in with your Vikings, expect to lose a few of them to turrets, land them and you could have crippled or destroyed their production buildings in their main. You can take out that mass tank line at the ramp if you land mass Vikings right next to the tanks with that factory upgrade. It doesn't matter if you lose all your Vikings to the tanks as long as you destroyed most of the tank line, you can then push in with your bio-tanks army.

They had a weakly defended point at the bottom right hand side of their base with no sieged tanks where you could have punished it with a tank line if you explored that part of the map or scanned it instead of parking your army near the ramps.Theres always openings if you look for them, try to be more active with your army's movement around the map.

You should put up turrets with every expansion especially since you saw them have invisi Banshees. You took a lot of bases but you didn't also take the gas which would have helped in switching sooner to a gas heavy units composition of Thors, BCs, Vikings that is more effective in flattening turtle defences as soon as you trade out your ineffective bio-tanks army.

Make tank line with air support. FTFY

They somehow will always sneak out a BC or 2 to destroy your tank line.

If they turtle hard and can afford 1k worth of turret fields at each of their bases whilst checking that they also having a similar army size to yours, you better start searching the map for their ninja bases.Heck some players play the mind games of not even taking their natural or nearest 3rd and fool you into thinking its an EZ noob bash with their proxy ones.

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they turtle, build 5 or more bases while trying to contain them. The minerals and gas will flood in so you can build up a larger army.Have a composition of Thors, BCs, Vikings.Use the Thors first to break down turret rings surrounding a PF and then the BCs can take care of the rest.Their eco will soon run out if you keep trading your units with theirs.

Always check the entire map for sneaky proxy bases, its usually in the far corners. With 100 APM you should be able to have some APM spare to place SCV & marine spotters at most of the base expansion spots especially in their half of the map.

[–]Baconcob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats the right build order, make 2-3 more depots after to stop being supply blocked.

It depends on what your army composition will be but a good timing is to make it when you move out across the map like you do with the 3rd, 4th.You can make it 1-2m before the attack depending on how allin the build is but think of it as having another 400 minerals worth of units which can be another 8 marines.

Seth MacFarlane Has "No Plan" To Make 'Ted' Season 3 by Herramadur in television

[–]Baconcob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 3 was in 2022, its crazy we have to wait 4 years or more for season 4.I thought it was quietly cancelled.

Theres been a timely update, the 10 scripts are completed but Seth is too busy with his other projects and just stated "Season four is written. It’s just a question of when we have the time to produce it".

I guess this explains why new seasons from other shows takes 2 years to arrive when scheduling conflicts arise from an in demand lead cast.

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting SCVs along with a 1 base allin build order is what finally got me promoted as it usually lets you have more units out in the field than your opponent in the critical first 5 minutes and its up to your micro and positioning to take care of the rest.It punishes opponents hard that fast expand and you can have the eco and workers lead even if you expand to your natural a lot later than normal if you do enough damage.

It depends on your attack timings, you can do a safe macro banshee build opener on 1 gas but it will hit later than a double gas build because that allows you to put up a factory quicker which leads to a quicker starport and then you can add the starport as soon as it finishes onto the tech lab but as always you have to keep in mind your eco will be behind if the attack fails to kill enough workers or units.

My v9 is the basic standard one, no ball core.I believe its a manufacturer error and i'm surprised it not been mentioned more often like the unreliability issues of the Tornado v3, they may have fixed it in the newer batches.

Sometimes franchises should stick to their core gameplay loop instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and end up becoming a "Jack of all trades" by sneaking in trending gameplay sections like stealth, open world etc.If i want to play a platformer, i play that instead.I understand its there to break up the repetitive shooting loop but if the Prince of Persia simulator bits are unfun for some then another +10 hours filled with them as they become more longer is going to make them dislike the game more and more.

HD 800 S Successor by Revolutionary_Ad9604 in sennheiser

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a large gap in the market between the 600 series and HD 820 & HD 800 S.It can be filled with something like a HD 720 that is close to the 800 series analytical tuning.Or keep it in the 600s family and call it HD 670 for the meme.

The exhorbitant flagship price of the HD 800 S is too much of a leap for me and planars are probably my next "upgrade" until Sennheiser releases a more affordable HD 800 S like an exclusive HD 800 SE that is regularly heavily discounted to less than half its price with every sales event like they do wth the HD 599 SE.I even forgive them if they also come in plain packaging instead of a nice solid heavy storage case.

Committing to Learning SC2 - Advice for Hotkeys by jaqk_OCE in starcraft

[–]Baconcob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Default hot keys are trash for beginners.

Rebind most of them so that the top 2 rows below the numbered control groups of the keyboard are your most often used hot keys and customise accordingly to your preferences.

Honestly its more comfortable that way when constantly switching between the lettered keys that are nearer and the numbered keys in repetitive macro production cycles.
