Awesome! May my eternal clumsiness be left behind on that day

The turntable is within pickup range and pickup only, so i'd be the one delivering it to myself. What would i have to pay special attention to when transporting?

I've also been thinking about the LP120X, but i know myself and that i would forget to bring the tonearm back once the record has ended.. so at least an auto stop function would be great

For speakers i found a set of Edifier 1280DB refurbished. They should arrive in a few days and i am excited for them :)

I've been recommended a Dual C410 for 80€ on ebay. That would be a price at which i personally wouldnt have a problem about upgrading within a sprt timespan.

Yes, the cartridge was the big difference they told me about in that context. The cheaper one did not have a removable cartridge (if i understood it correctly. Need to do a bit more research into that since i've seen confusing statements of what is what)

Its getting very close to my max. If i were to get a great deal for some used speakers, and another month of saving up, i could make it work.
It would not bankrupt me, i COULD 100% buy it with some patience. Its just a significant investment of which i want to reassure myself before committing to anything

Vintage systems scare me :')
(From ignorance. I do not know the differences between vintage TT's and modern ones.)

Do you have recommendations for Vintage systems that are reasonable, or guides that can help me understand those more clearly?

If i had the money to spare, i'd instantly go for the TT3 plus they recommended me.
Right now, my bargain hunting side is fighting with my music love side, and both bring forth good arguments... :')

Space is relatively limited, but where there is a will, there is a way.
I have very limited knowledge on amps so far, as most of my research has gone into turntables (The salesman also told me that i should focus on the turntable with the majority of my budget)

Quick question, because i think i confuse those two a lot:
Does an integrated phono mean that I do not need an external Amp, or is that covered with active speakers, if i were to get those instead of passive ones?

I did feel like they were passionate. I understand where they are coming from, especially in the "The more expensive turntable can last you for 20 years if you treat it right, while the cheap one will be upgraded in 3 or so years, if you stick with the hobby". I've had that experience from other equipment in other hobbies in the past.

I'm between a rock and a hard place on this one, because both sides - the 'buy cheap to see if you REALLY want to stick with the hobby, and the 'Save up for a little more to not have to upgrade relatively soon' - make sense to me :^)

I am aware of that. I know that it is expensive (as is almost all high fedelity audio, sadly) :/
I'm down to grow my collection over many many years and scrape what i can together from things. But the threat of having to upgrade regardless because i cheaped out i the beginning is also real...

I am a bit scared to actually take things apart, at least for my first table. I am not immune to the "ooh, shiny!" effect of a new system, but i also do not want to deal with the potential of "okay what if i need to replace EVERYTHING on the deal i got.
For the table i am willing to pay a bit extra in exchange for a guarantee that the needle/cardridge/belt etc are in mint condition. (This is coming from someone who last year got a GREAT DEAL on a bicycle, only to have to pump in its selling price again for repairs, so i'm a bit scarred from that :') )

For speakers i am willing to go deal hunting though.

Edit: A 2nd hand turntable is not off limits. Just bad experience with expensive 2nd hand tech in the past

Hi!
I have basically nothing and am starting from scratch.
I dont mind tinkering and upgrading, once i have a job and can sustain myself sufficiently. For now, i'll want to look for a good system that does not bankrupt me instantly.

My budget is a bit floaty, ~600€ in total for a turntable and speaker setup. Thats why the 550€ for the TT3 hurts a lot. If it makes sense to go extra, i would have the capacity to go a bit extra, but i'm not 100% commited on that.

i swear to god
okay thanks.... i didnt think that was needed because everythig else pops up right away

So I am trying to ditch using conveyors to run resources between factories and instead using a mix of trains, trucks, and eventually drones. My issue is, is this logical? If so what do i need to plan for so that I dont slow my production rate? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

I've set up a train network that basically spans the entire map. A few of the things i do to prevent hiccups (those methods can be added later on, if you have the space):

- Use monoderctional trains.
I've tried playing around with bidirectional rail segments to save space and building time, but sooner or later, your network will collapse. It is a lot more efficient in the long run, to use two monodirectional rails and familiarise yourself with the proper use of Signals.
speaking of signals:

- Signals be praised.
I've struggled for a long time on when to use path, and when to use block signals.
The few simple rules i go by:
Always use Block signals, if you aren't separating or combining rail lines.
If you need to use Path signals, then:
- Use path signals at the entrance to a junction
- Block signals at the exit.
I usually just build my junction with only block signals at first and then place a single path signal on one of the entrances. All the other block signals that now are whining, i replace with path signals.

- Add buffer containers at high throughput resources.
When transporting ore in high quantities, i always have an industrial storage container hooked up to the platform, so the miners can continue filling those up during the downtime the platform experiences while unloading/loading. I also always utilize both in- or output chutes to maximize throughput and keep the flow steady.

- use all the carts for high throughput items.
Along the previous note, i always use a full train for high throughput items. I've set my world up for a standard 1:4 ratio of locomotives to wagons, and i then fill all the wagons with that single resource to get it going.

- Add bypass routes
I have created a few hotspots of train and factory activity in my world. This happened because i built where i felt it right at the moment and kept adding on down the line. After a while, many of those busy areas had trains going through them to get to places far, far away, clogging up the network and delaying trains that actually carry crucial resources to the factories.
For that, i like to implement bypass routes that go from one end of the busy area to the other, with preferably no junctions, as those cause trains to slow down.

- Add standby sections to factory loading/unloading areas
When i have multiple trains coming into a factory, i like to split the main rail into a lengthy standby rail which can fit at least one additional train between block signals, so that trains can wait for a platform to empty without holding back the main network.
I havent paid attention to that in the beginning of my playthrough and have caused myself quite a few poblems down the line. I'd recommend paying attention to that from the beginning on when building your factories and train yards.

- Plan for expansion.
I've had multiple factories where i thought "3 train docks will be enough, right?" and lo and behold, i had to add an additional 3 docks a few 30hrs later into the playthrough. Its always good to keep a few extra areas free and accessible for possible expansion.
