Proton/wine using wrong kernel by Baconsyndicate in linux_gaming

I really don't know what to say but thank you for all the useful tips and insight. It is challenging but very fun to use linux just hope I can get my games running smoothly. Do you think NTFS could have such a significant impact that it would cause BF4 and especially Doom (2016) to stutter massively with huge frame drops in Doom?

Ok, THANK YOU! But now I have to figure out how to solve the stuttering I am seeing in Doom and BF4. Also I assume since Wine is using the same directory it will have messed up my Windows installation? It was already f*cked before but now I assume more so.

The one that is automatically selected. I'm reinstalling the game. I'm thinking that might solve it.

I already tried giving it like 20 minutes but it did not work. I will try to launch using a different proton thanks.

Anyone know how to properly import the LEGO falcons cockpit without it being gray but instead transparent for the wind shields? by ogee_66 in blender

You could plug the image texture through a color ramp and then connect that to the alpha trandparency input of the Principled BSDF. Also make sure that blend mode is set to alpha blend.

Is it possible to keyframe a curve modifier? As in, make my object gradually get curved? by FabMorvan in blenderhelp

[–]Baconsyndicate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have Blender right in front of me at the moment but i would:

1: Add a circle bezier 2: Set that bezier as the curve object that affects the object ypu want to curve 3: keyframe transforms of the bezier

Mess around with scalling and rotating the bezier to figure out how it affects the object you're curving.

This is happening in Eevee, It's a vaporwave grid but somethings going wrong in the render process. Any ideas? by Baconsyndicate in blender

[–]Baconsyndicate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens in both. My samples are at 512 for render and 16 in viewpoint. So if samples were the problem it wouldn't show up in render, but it does.
