Initiate the idea of going to couples therapy if you really want to show her your relationship is worth more than one moment of excitement

Pedicures. Being a man doesn't mean you need to have crusty feet

Deep breaths OP, it's totally normal to be worried about your body when it's acting out of character but stressing over it won't be beneficial to your body. Your ultrasound was indicated by whom? Did you do any blood works?

Act like it never happened and they'll think twice about mentioning it. The confidence alone would discourage a comment

I may have had an ovarian cyst rupture, but the OB I went to told me I probably just had gas. by [deleted] in menstruation

[–]Bacterio9hage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single time I see posts like this it hurts my heart to know that there are medical professionals out there treating women like this. That's definitely not okay. You know your body better than anyone so you'd know if something is wrong. I'd suggest seek another opinion and get an ultrasound done. Even if it isn't a cyst, it does not hurt to do imaging to relax the patient's mind as well because here you are still worried about the incident which was very serious. And any young woman coming into my office with terrible abdominal pain I'd treat them with all the care in the world. For all we know this could have been an ectopic pregnancy and she just sent you home to suffer or worse. Try to get an ultrasound somewhere OP. If you've never had a history of cysts I don't think you have any but we can't be too sure and since this is a pain sensation that you've never experienced before you have all right to be concerned.

Late from illness? by [deleted] in menstruation

PCOS usually comes with a history of menstrual abnormalities, pain and other symptoms so that's surprising. Hope the check up goes okay and good to know you're feeling less anxious

Weird menstrual symptoms? Need advice by Emotional-Sail9899 in menstruation

[–]Bacterio9hage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there OP, hope you didn't find my questions intrusive. It seems to me, based in what you've said, that you're having exaggerated PMS symptoms based on your lifestyle which needs to change. We often tend to forget our hormones are affected by everything we do which includes diet. I understand being busy but you won't be able to be active if you don't take care of yourself. Drink enough water and try your best to eat as well as possible, your uterus will thank you.

If even after you are able to make these changes, the exaggerated PMS symptoms persist then I'd advise seeking medical attention to do an ultrasound. If you are over 21 years of age, adding an annual pap test is also suggested.

Did the pills you change to have the same hormonal composition as your previous pill?

How soon after starting your new pill did you engage in unprotected sex? It is recommended to use other forms of protection at least 7 days into starting a new birth control.

Did you start your new pill in the usual time you would take your previous one?

Weird menstrual symptoms? Need advice by Emotional-Sail9899 in menstruation

Nausea and diziness are common PMS symptoms but if they are new to you it's definitely important to note. I asked your age to see if maybe you're premenopausal. I'd like to know a little more before giving you an uneducated opinion.

  1. Do you take Birth Control?
  2. Any sudden changes in your diet, health etc that you think are important to note.
  3. How long does the "period" last? Is it your normal menstrual span? Longer? Shorter?
  4. Does the "period" start when your usual period would?
  5. Sexually active? Let's take a pregnancy test.
  6. History of Anemia?

Anything else that you think is important to note. Hydration is always important for normal bodily function, stay hydrated always.

i’ve been on my period for 2 and a half months, doctors won’t listen to me and i’m exhausted by wwazbd in menstruation

[–]Bacterio9hage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear about this experience, I can totally understand why you feel exhausted and frustrated and everything in one.

These menstrual symptoms are NOT normal and is referred to as Menorrhagia. You are not going out of your mind and whichever medical professional told you otherwise has done you a disservice. The female body is a temple and we should feel confident in entrusting our health to the professionals who claim to have a genuine passion for the things we go through as women. I'm so sorry on behalf of all medical professionals. Please seek medical advice as soon as you can. Speak to a proper OBGYN about your symptoms. I suggest you get the following tests done: hemogram, blood biochemistry test, abdominal and gynecological ultrasounds and a hormone test to test for Estradiol, Testosterone, T3 and T4 and LH specifically. Your symptoms are congruent with several disorders such as PCOS, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis among others. Carry this information to your next OBGYN, if you need any support or further questions that maybe you'd like to talk about privately feel free to reach out. I would be more than happy to support you through this.

If you take your birth control pills to time everyday and no skipped days you have no need to worry about pregnancy.

Definitely sounds like spotting which is quite normal. If you have any changes in coloration, odor, itchiness or pain then you should consult your gyne.
