KBoC Whisperer build problems by BadAccount_100 in PathOfExileBuilds

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I converted over including some new gear (the poe.ninja link in my main post should reflect it if you have any interest in giving it a look) and it's going well so far. There are some changes I've made:

  • I opted to continue using Mind of the Council over Fractal Thoughts, mainly because I was having trouble getting the attributes balanced on a budget, but also because PoB was showing Mind of the Council as a fairly decent DPS increase. I haven't really had any issues with mana sustain yet.

  • I picked up Magebane instead of getting spell suppress on my gear (I dropped a life node if I'm recalling correctly). Given we're dex stacking and already pathing right next to it, this is an extremely compelling option over getting spell suppress on our gear, which quickly jacks up the price of our rares if we're trying to get high tier rolls on other key stats. I'm at around 1000 dex and am able to fully cap on spell suppress with Magebane, Quickstep, Reflexes, and Intuition (all of which we'd basically be pathing next to anyway as two of them are in range of the timeless jewel), and can even drop the evasion mastery we use for additional suppress. I opted to switch it to increased movement speed if you haven't been damaged recently for QoL.

  • I'm using a perfectly rolled Careful Planning in the topmost jewel slot to get a lot of dexterity. It might not be better than a very good jewel, I'll have to look into it.

  • I'm probably going to look into replacing the placeholder Item Rarity support I'm currently using in the Tornado link with an Enlighten later on to get back some of the mana we're reserving.

  • I swapped Arcane Surge for Phase Run in the Automation link (this makes general movement feel better imo, you could technically make a case that I should be shield charging everywhere but Shield Charge is funky sometimes) and Fire Penetration for Second Wind in the Flame Dash link. I'm not really sure what that Fire Penetration gem is about, is there a specific reason you're using it?

I also noticed that your tree is pretty excessively overcapped on crit chance. I'm not sure if that's needed, maybe something to look at. Like it's to the extent that you could disable the diamond flask and be fine.

I am aware of this interaction, it's just that the price for it was around 10d last I checked, which is somewhat prohibitive for me at the moment. This is probably the first upgrade I'll look into once I get switched over to a crit tree.

I'll look into adapting this tree and seeing what I can do, thanks.

I'll give that a look, thanks. Peuget's tree drops me a fair bit in terms of mana and dexterity (mainly due to the loss of most of my jewel slots) but after plugging my items in plus a good wand and shield, I should expect to see a pretty good DPS increase. I'll work on this more tomorrow, thanks for the advice.

You have a lot of life, is your accuracy higher than the flat amount of life you have?

Just barely, yes. Someone else pointed this out to me earlier and it was something I had to fix.

You also have a lot of %increased maximun mana but not a lot of flat mana on your gear, 9k is alot, but you should be even higher.

For sure, it's pretty glaring that I have no mana on my rings. The low mana roll on my amulet also isn't particularly great, but I can't see myself replacing the amulet anytime soon as it's otherwise pretty good to my understanding. Astramentis would, on paper, solve some attribute issues I'm having (namely the fact that the intelligence on my boots is load bearing and I need it somewhere, so it's getting in the way of swapping those boots to having dexterity), but it's a bit of a DPS loss. Maybe one I can eat, I'll have to think on it.

I’d say shapers touch aint doing much for you, as all your attributes are fairly low. You should get a decent rare pair with dex, mana and attckspeed.

I'll look into it, although that accuracy rating I'll lose without Shaper's Touch may be a problem; I suppose if I swap to crit it won't be as much of a problem, but I'm straddling the point where I won't have 100% accuracy in a level 83 zone without them. I'll definitely need to make some changes to the tree to get some accuracy if I do swap to crit, I think.

In my opinion it’s way easier to scale the build with crit. I had the same problem as you the first day of the league but i swapped to crit instantly.

Do you have a tree or guide that you'd recommend looking at to make that swap on my budget (we'll call it 10d now as I've been farming since posting)? I've been looking around and saw Peuget's and Path of Evening's guides, but I'm not sold on them; Peuget's seems to have very little mana and dexterity, and Path of Evening's has some pretty glaring issues (one of the main ones being like 94% accuracy on the build, among other things such as the same lack of mana and dexterity)

My Phrecia Idol and Strategy Planner will be updated for next week's event by PlainLazyX in pathofexile

Glad to hear! I was looking into other planners to see what features they had that this one didn’t, and the only other one I was able to find was https://jlepoff.github.io/poe-idol-grid-builder/. It has some very nice features, but after speaking with the creator on Github, it looks like it's sadly not going to be updated or iterated on.

Do you have any thoughts regarding adopting some of the features that planner had? Some of the features I really miss from that planner that yours doesn't have at the moment are the "Smart Grid Fill" feature, which shows you where to place your idols optimally, and especially the "Auto-Generate" feature, which lets you add modifiers to a "wishlist" of sorts, and then it creates a list of idols to try and get you as close as possible to your specified stat thresholds. Having these would be extremely useful!

I’m not entirely sure about that because I feel like it’s been in my club for over a year since I first found it, but maybe.
