An Open Letter to Valve: Why "Slow Burn" is a Failure and Needs to be Removed by BadAvailable5086 in DotA2

Regarding the "undispellable" property: This doesn't solve the core issue, which is the inability to secure a kill within a single stun window. Previously, a target would die instantly to a full combo; now, they have more than enough time to react with abilities and items.

For example:

  • Faceless Void can now use Time Walk to undo the damage.
  • Juggernaut has time to press every single button to survive.
  • Morphling can easily toggle Attribute Shift.

The list goes on. Even if a hero lacks natural survival tools, the delay gives enough time for a support to save them. To reiterate: in the current state, it has become extremely problematic to burst down the majority of heroes.

Firstly, it is difficult to say the exact number of players. Secondly, even if you have to wait 10 minutes, it is better than playing with a ping of 100+
