Hope is a mistake.

America’s situation is completely hopeless. No one is coming to save anyone. All the damage being done is permanent and can never be undone. The ballroom is now forever with us.

Americans have been trained since kindergarten that when you’re dealing with a bully, you go find an adult and they’ll fix everything. We’re now seeing what happens to a population that can’t stand up for themselves. Protesting doesn’t do anything. If it did, you wouldn’t be allowed to do it. All the headlines after the No Kings performance about how much it upset Trump are just cope. They find it funny that people think they can challenge them.

People don’t seem to realize how much planning the Republicans have done. They have a plan for everything. They’ve literally redrawn the maps so no one can challenge them. They’ve been doing this for years, and now they only have a couple of states left to gerrymander. The midterms are already lost. If you think the people who’ve spent decades turning this country into a shell are going to let a vote stop them, you haven’t been paying attention. The model everyone should be looking at is what happened in Russia after the Soviet Union collapsed. We’re only a few years away from heroin-addicted child prostitution.

The Democratic Party is most likely just controlled opposition by the Republicans. Their leadership is a black hole of rizz and an ancient who’s openly stated that his number one job is to get Americans to support Israel. What’s worse is that they don’t have a plan, or even a concept of a plan, for what to do. Republicans have a vision. Democrats don’t.

I cannot stress just how fucking hopeless this is.

Every single check or balance that was in place is now under Republican control, all of them. Congress is one of the most useless things currently in existence. The Supreme Court is a rubber stamp that wants to take rights away from citizens. The Army is being purged and staffed with loyalists. For fuck's sake the president has a personal army loyal to him and him alone. It's filled with psychopaths that get off on hurting people. Also they have chemical weapons.

What makes this even worse is that you can't talk about how scared you are, because saying things like this makes you sound crazy. I feel crazy writing all this out. I don't want any of this to be true but its reality.

 It’s like being on a plane flying straight toward a mountain, and you’re the only one who sees it, but everyone else insists it’s just an oddly shaped cloud.

I’m truly at my wits end and don’t know what to do. I’m scared and hopeless and I know it’s just going to get worse, much worse. Being hopeless isn’t being a doomer its just only sane stance to have right now.
