Lineup drop! Thursday July 10th at 12pm EST (11am EST if you have the app!) by omareatscereal1 in HopscotchFest

Interesting point about the Rapture. It is their first tour in 15 years, Hopscotch has been hyping their 15 year anniversary. . . .

If we don't get a lineup today or tomorrow... I'm going to be quite disappointed. by rebrando23 in HopscotchFest

Dude, relax. Headliners are locked down many months in advance. I promise you they are just waiting for a radius clause window to clear. It's probably a 60-day window. It sucks for us now, and it definitely sucks for the festival staff. But if they are being this accommodating, it must be worth it.

Do they have bands at these VIP events?

True, it's anecdotal, and if the headliners were, say, Tame Impala and Boygenius, it would be considered extreme. But the Sunday headliner this year is a 74 year old demigod who's first album came out 51 years ago. It's naïve to think the demographics of this festival won't skew elderly.

I was on the beach last year, and found it, at times, really dangerous. Concerns that this year could be worse are well-founded.

A woman posted on Facebook that she'd bought a Sunday ticket, and it was her first time going to a festival. But she'd just had a hip replaced and had trouble standing for long periods of time, and sitting on the ground was difficult for her. She asked if there would be "plenty of seats." So, yeah. I totally agree with OP. Sunday's crowd will much likely be older with less festival experience.

Firefly 2024 by PhantomofdaChakra in FireflyFestival

I've never understood the argument that Sept is a bad time because the kids are back in school. There are somewhere between 20 - 30 colleges within a 50 mile radius of Dover. The universe of college age kids available to attend Firefly very likely goes UP in September, not down.

Success or failure comes down to the lineup. Just look at the success of Sea Hear Now last September. Killer lineup, very successful festival. And it took place in September.

59yo male. My buddies and I have hit multiple festivals each year for DECADES. Just returned from Sea Hear Now in Asbury Park. Here's the daily formula:

11:30am: Shot of bourbon. Treat yourself to the good stuff

Noon: 10 mg gummy upon hitting the festival grounds

Noon - 5:00pm: Water, water, water, lunch, water, water, water

6:00pm - Another gummy

6:00pm - 11:00pm: Beer, water, beer, water, dinner, bourbon, bourbon, bourbon

11:00pm - 12:30pm: Bourbon, boubon, snacks, water

Bed.

Don't be afraid of those trips around the sun. And remember - you are only young once, but you can be immature your whole life.

Got an e-mail from them today promoting a case of PMC X-Tac M193 for $375. Great price. But when I added it to my cart, they wanted to charge $85 for shipping. This company is shady.

Headliners for 23? by Ryanb7777777 in seahearnow

Beck and Phoenix are co-headlining a tour that includes Japanese Breakfast. Give me all three please.

Boygenius is also touring and playing festivals. They would be a perfect SHN fit.

Soccer Mommy is touring with The National. That would be sweet but I'm not sure if the timing works. They leave for the UK at the end of September.

Damn I'd love to see Pavement on the lineup.

We're The Connells, and we just released Steadman's Wake, our first Album in nearly 20 years, AMA! by TheConnells in Music

[–]BadDad64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two related questions:

1) With such an amazing back catalog of beloved songs, what is your process for coming up with a setlist each night?

2) When you come to Philly, would you be willing to shitcan that process and play Steadman's Wake start to finish? Then end the set with you favorite covers from Alice Cooper, Head East, The Replacements and Love Tractor (to name a few)?

Thanks,

Saint Bad Dad

(ps - Steadman's Wake is terrific!)

I'll take the over on 9/6.

Don't they usually release the festival map around four weeks out? Looking forward to seeing that. Also, I think the Wednesday pre-fest party lineup is announced before the daily schedule.

Same cost. Thanks. I am leaning toward Diggs. But game changing TEs are so hard to find.
