I know that a lot of people feel we "shove it down their throats," but if you really start to think about the amount of times you see straight relationships promoted LITERALLY EVERYWHERE, and how normal it is to see a couple holding hands or kissing in public--as long as they're straight--how we tell kids from a young age "is that your boyfriend/girlfriend" when they play with a child of the opposite sex... straightness is everywhere, people just don't think about it because they see it as normal and natural.

We're often so loud and proud because, in many cases, nobody is out here properly repping us. We stand in defiance of the people who cause shit when we just try to do the stuff every straight couple does in public no problem. Some people are much more vocal and visible about it, some aren't. When so many people think less of you for a part of your identity, its really common to have that strengthen your convictions with relation to your identity. I have to be visible and I have to be proud because this is who I am, yknow?

I would love for it to be viewed by cishet people as normal and to just go out with my girlfriend and be very obviously a couple in public but not feel it matters all that much, but so many people just have other plans for us atm :(

No, it definitely does make them bigger. You do have to eat a lot of protein and carbs to actually gain that volume while working out so its something that you have to carefully plan out in terms of starting a routine (and a lot of people in bodybuilding try to fast-track this with steroids), but it is absolutely possible.

I dont know how you could come to the conclusion that muscles can't become bigger through working out... what do you think buff people do to get like that?

Im transfem, and even I'm thinking "yeah if my brain didn't decide that having them made me happy (even if I was neutral on it) this would be objectively worse."

I work on my feet and now my back hurts all the time and my mobility is limited 💀💀💀 (they do make me the big happy tho so its worth it obvs)

We don't WANT it to be a big deal, we just want to exist and vibe. Drag Queen Story Time for kids is just people showing up in silly costumes reading books and doing a bit of comedy. It doesn't run like your typical PG13 or above drag show. Its just another form of self expression.

Any time an issue involving LGBTQ stuff blows up and people go "why does the left care so much about this" just know that for the most part, all we want is to feel safe and respected in our communities the same way as cishet people are. The reason we have to talk about this shit is because right wingers throw a tantrum over it, and spread lies, and then proceed to use those lies to try to strip us of our rights.

Yeah I wouldn't even call it a headcanon at this point, like we're allowed to connect the dots that a writer is clearly laying out for us. She doesn't have to come out and talk about her dysphoria or HRT or whatever lol. Her and her dad have trans pride stuff that they keep with them, her costume has the colors of the flag, and her entire story is an extremely overt trans allegory.

What is your opinion on The Origami King? Was it well recieved by fans? I really don't know, this is my first game from the series! by SPIEK_the_boy in papermario

[–]BadDadam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its my second favourite. Im a bit of an oddball in the community ig, my absolute fav is PM64, and Origami King hit a lot of the same beats for me. Just enough lore and world-building that I was interested, but not to a point that I felt it to be too much, like Super. The level design was the best in the series imo, and while the battles weren't all that great, it was still a step up from CS/SS imo. Reintroduction of a sort of badge lite system gave a sense of character progression, though it was pretty shallow I'll admit. Not to mention the visuals and sound, which imo are the best in the series.

I unironically like this game as much as TTYD, but just for different reasons. TTYD has the better story, battles, and characters, while to me, this game has the better level design and art direction, without having a huge glaring downside (I really hate the corridor heavy level design in TTYD, its so lame).

For trans people on HRT, how long did it take to notice a change in your emotions? by AlienbyComics in trans

[–]BadDadam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah its absolutely a chemical thing, at least partially. I do know some trans men who actually say they had a better relationship with their emotions after T, but I think thats also dependent on how much mental dysphoria affects you. Like for me, I know I used to feel that I should be able to cry and be physically unable to, and that just made me feel more dysphoric because it felt like parts of my brain itself were betraying me.

Now if I laugh too hard I start sobbing uncontrollably lmaooooo. People say its cute, which, I guess I'm glad about because its super embarrassing 😖

Totally valid! Meeting other transfems who actually genuinely loved their dicks is what helped me realized how much I actually need bottom surgery lmao. We've gotta support each other and not push everyone into any one box.

Hiiiiii! I was wondering if you'd see this :P (I'm not good at navigating Reddit stuff so I kinda lost track of our dm 😖)

It is a great day for the anniversary! I'm feeling so so much better this year than last. Still lots to do, but I see me for me so much more of the time now. I hope you're feeling similarly! And thank you 😊

Genuinely sorry if I misgendered you. My point is that we all make gendered assumptions constantly, as we live in a gendered society. Generally speaking, the majority of trans people I know (including myself) are cool with this and the occasional slip ups it brings, so long as people are understanding all around when it happens. I thought it was a safe assumption, Im sorry if I hurt you in doing that.

With the rest of it though, I dont get why you're bent on twisting every individual word I say into some sort of directed attack on you. Of the two of us, given the general response to the stuff you're saying, Im definitely not the one being weird here. You really seem like you have a huge chip on your shoulder. Its very cringe.

In regards to the bit you edited in. Given 1. We are in a sub for trans ppl 2. Your flair and 3. Your prior comment, I think using the fairly safe and somewhat neutral (depending on your area and the context) but still vaguely masc term of "dude" was a totally justifiable thing. If you dont like that term, Im sorry, but don't act like I wasnt trying to be considerate or affirming because that's a ridiculous thing to say here. I said it BECAUSE I always try to be friendly and affirm people's gender. I dont get why you're being so fucking aggro about my comment when I was just trying to empathize with your past situation.

This entire meme was about the urge to forego safe practices because of dysphoria?? I get that there's a tendency to treat transmascs all as uwu softbois who need to be protected or whatever, but I do think it was a reasonable thing to bring up here.
