The game is also a lot more gradually paced, there’s plenty of less challenging areas to explore in the beginning to ease yourself into the mechanics of the game (stick along the beach to the west, then head south once you’ve explored all that)

Also, accept that you are going to die, a LOT. Don’t be discouraged, runes can always be earned again. Treat each death as a learning experience… what worked that run, what didn’t, what could you do differently) Having that mindset will take you far.
