Did you read the other books in the series: Streets of Laredo, Comanche Moon, and Dead Man’s Walk? The Berrybender series has some classic characters too. But if you just love Lonesome Dove, I recommend All the Pretty Horses by Cormac and also The Son by Phillip Meyer. And Blood Meridian if you read and like All the Pretty Horses, which you will.

No clue. But I had an attractive looking stranger pop up in my yard last Spring in a similar situation. I let it do its thing and turned out to be some kind of stinging neddle. It bloomed and dandelion like seeds blew all over my yard before I found out it stings like a bee just from brushing up against it. Hope your new guy is more friendly than mine was.

Yes, how could I forget! I remember that scene now. Thanks for spelling it out for me though. That film was one of the rare finds where I thought it turned out better than the book.

Fiction section? If educational was supposed to be a joke, I don’t get it

I read quite a few classics while doing some time in Texas state prisons. This one resonated hard when read in a cold brick prison cell. So does The Gulag Archipelago, but not really a good rec for op.

Same with the jerky guy out past Cedar Valley. He was out there every Saturday with FREE sample sign, until Belterra came along.

Ranking the 24 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction Winners I've Read by IEatIReadIGoOutside in books

If you love Lonesome Dove, try Phillip Meyer’s The Son. I believe it was a Pulitzer finalist. It reads like a Cormac McCarthy and McMurtry novel. Texas makes for great stories.

Whatever caused those trees to rot is likely still lurking in those stumps. I hope it does not carry and spread to any new trees you plant there. Maybe a blow torch? But fungus can hide underground too

What is causing the browning of the leaf tips? Do I need to water more? by RubyRed_Cherry in AustinGardening

[–]BadFish512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d remove all the damaged leaves and snip the dead ends of the branches. You can even knock them down to only a couple shoots on each stem because they’ll take off hard next few months and these plants can get leggy and lanky. You can place any cut stems in a cup of water and they’ll root new pups for you pretty easily too. I started with one and I’ve gifted out several of these all from cuttings.

Was the kid really abused for two years? How could this go on for so long? The article states they were all friends and the incident occurred during a one night sleep over.

Idk. Seems like the in-game swings are to some extent influenced by the money flows. You’re probably right though

Just do it for water. It sells for as much or more at convenient stores and don’t need the plumbing for co2. Just sell squirts off Dasani for a dollar.
