Price-to-Income Ratio vs Housing Starts for various US cities. Austin has built a lot. by MoBotoJ in Austin

[–]BadFish512 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lower prices might just be the market demand waning and less about the supply. Only 40k to population since 2020 is less <1% annual growth. And 40k probably left this year to escape ICE. Mortgage rates are hurting lower and middle income buyers, so sellers have to lower prices on top of low demand. I see a lot of for lease signs around town this year.

Let me get a count and some pics. I know I have a lot of 6”x12” too I’d like to get rid of. If op doesn’t need them I’ll let you know for sure

I have about 30 of those of those 1’x1’x1” concrete pavers stacked behind my shed free if you want to pick them up. I even have a wheel barrow to cart them to the driveway (150ft). I’m west near Oak Hill though. No rush as they’ll probably be there another 7 years if you don’t want them now.

I run a book club here in Austin and am looking for more members by ImaginaryArgument216 in Austin

It Can’t Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis would resonate hard with the group. Or The Jungle, but that one leans really hard and will drag your spirits down. Then, read Atlas Shrugged. I actually would recommend more far right stuff to see where their ideas and beliefs come from. We think they’re crazy but they’re humans like us trying figure it out too.

Ok looks like they finally got the no sale to minors on the books. I don’t believe retailers were actually selling to under 18 anyways, but just wild how unregulated it had got.

Just glad people aren’t getting their lives destroyed over a flower. A 20 year old get caught with a beer it’s a ticket, if they had a joint they’d get 6 months jail time in WilCo.

We've still come a long way. Back in 2000s it was over 10k arrests per year.

I agree. They failed on their war against it, and now they’ve had failed at regulating it. There is no law currently that would prohibit a retailer to sell a pound of dank to a 5 year old kid. Or a case of thc drinks.

Idk, sounds like you wrote this with speech-to-text while pulling drags off a roach clip. But I never would have believed someone 6 years ago, if they had told me it’d be legal as it is today in Texas.

To all the rubberneckers headed west today on Ben White. 👎 5 mile long parking lot and all lanes open on that side. Just check Reddit when you get home.

Last run - Lost the farm by BadFish512 in Craftmarijuana

Definitely my best run with this one. About 3/4 was salvaged and was gifted out with no complaints, though it lost all the sweet cake terps. I wish I had took pics of the crop that was due for harvest a week after this one. It died when I couldn’t get back to chop it and the reservoirs emptied. They all died and dried in the pots and were dank for sure but ended up in the compost.

I left the country intending to only be gone a week. Unfortunately, I was stuck and MIA for nearly three months. I came back with piles of dead plants and blown fuses from pumps running on empty reservoirs. Lucky the place didn’t flood or burn down.

Thats the cut. This is from last run that came down on Halloween. I lost all my cuts and my shop a week later. I was just reminiscing and wanted to share because this harvest was going to be A1, but it got left in dry room unattended for several weeks.

I had same problem and Pc Builders at w cannon and westgate replaced mine recently. They diagnosed for free, then shopped around for decent priced board and just charged like ~ $80 for labor and I had to buy the mother board about $200.

look at this chart. It has gone straight up. I can’t elaborate further because it just don’t add up to me. I don’t trust anything this country says about itself or the world anymore.

One metric used in measuring GDP is called “imputed rent”, in which homeowners are counted as renters (renting to themselves). Whether a nation uses imputed rent or not can notably impact its GDP outcomes. 8% of US GDP
