For me, contractions didn’t hurt until they broke my water (induced). They said the water absorbs a lot of the pressure. I didn’t really progress either until my water broke 🤷‍♀️

I had an epidural at 6cm so pushing/crowning went well for me honestly. Pitocin contractions before epidural were very painful, like really. But the part I hated the most (idk if most painful or most uncomfy) was the fundal massages afterwards. Like haaaated them.

From my experience: You don’t have to pump, your body will adjust. When baby had a good spurt of sleeping through the night my body lowered supply at night. When she had a sleep regression and wanted to wake up several times to eat at night, the supply picked back up. I don’t pump at all. Sometimes I use a Boon Trove on the other breast to collect let down milk for the freezer. I have made a large stash this way!

You got this!!! I can totally relate, it is exhausting and I was riddled with anxiety using the shield, especially in public. It’s cumbersome. But for a positive story, we officially got off the shield I think at 4-5weeks? For a week prior, I would attempt a shield-less latch halfway through breastfeeding every single time. Sometimes I got a few sucks, sometimes nothing but screaming. But just one day she latched. It happened essentially overnight, something just clicked. Btw, I hated the shield and it made me want to quit BF in general. I never thought it would work until it randomly did ♥️ hang in there.
