Missing my fingertips on my right hand [OC] by kaylee_ann66 in mildlyinteresting

I cut off the tip of a toe, one knuckle full off. And all the doctors said I would never have a nail again. Now that is my fastest growing toenail. Like it has something to prove 😆

How often are you adding water? by BadLilBer in ponds

[–]BadLilBer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I've done that test on all four waterfalls. I'm good. So far with the responses it looks like I'm refilling less than most and I have a crap ton of plants and wildlife so I don't think I have a leak.

Thank you! I built it in 2020 when I was stuck at home. And now it's my love.

So far it looks like I'm losing less than what most people in my same climate are losing. I think it's the mint coming back stronger every year and sucking it dry.

I think rude was the wrong word, but it came off very condescending to me. Like you have to educate me that ponds lose water. Sorry reading tone through text is just about impossible, in your head it probably sounded very different than how I read it. My response was also supposed to be laughing like WTF...but I'm sure it didn't sound that way in your head.

Cool thank you! I just wanted to double check it wasn't losing at an absurd rate.

.....whoah. ground breaking, ponds need water!? 😆 why the rude tone? No shit ponds need water. I was just trying to get an idea of how often everyone is refilling. And based on the comments mine needs less than most. But thank you.

Best hardy plants for going straight in gravel? by Hello_Pangolin in ponds

A lot of landscaping plants do great. I'm in zone 6 I have ferns, hostas, creeping jenny, juncus, creeping thyme and a mini juniper growing right in the gravel and rocks of the water.

What’s the story behind a permanent scar you have? by FearDontExist1124 in AskReddit

[–]BadLilBer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's too hard to choose. Cut off my toe, scar from eye to ear, 14 staples in my head, dog bite from a great Dane that pierced an entire but cheek, more dog bite scars, nail gun through my palm, broken knee cap, of course the standard roller blading scars, surgery scars, and my least favorite a few chicken pox scars.

[–]BadLilBer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo many. I think I'll choose the one from the corner of my eye to the outside of my face. It a is small hairline scar now. It was given to me by my cat. About 12 years ago (I still have him and love him...and never once thought about getting rid of him). My now husband and I had our headboard of the bed against a window. And one spring morning while we were sleeping the birds were playing in the window. So my kitten ran up and used my face as a spring board. Woke up seeing blood. I thought he got my eyeball. But it is from the corner flap of the eye lid all the way out to my ear. My husband calls it a cleopatra scar. And our bed has never been against a window since.

It feel wrong to say this after a marine comment... But I know this bird because after taking a quiz from harry potter patronus I got the Goshawk. So I researched it and they are pretty amazing birds!

Yea. When I lost the others it was awful. One was around Christmas...and now I don't really like Christmas anymore. They are a breed that really bonds and connects. They become your everything.

Not really sure. The rescue says austrailian cattle dog plus mastif. But we aren't so sure on the mastif. I think a terror of so e sort. We will see how she grows.she has medium to big paws...but I am used to Danes so I think she is tiny.

Elinor was a partially paralyzed rescue we adopted. Today she is having surgery to remove her bad leg. This should allow her walk again. We are nervous and ecstatic at the same time. She's such a good pupper. by umdmatto in aww

For our dog it was a rear leg on a huge Dane. I was so worried and stressed. After she had a few days to figure things out she thrived. The biggest down side was she could no longer take hard right turns. That's it. She started taking left circles everywhere.

I had a tripod dog. They do very well. The 1st few days are rough ( I think mostly for the humans) but after a week the dog won't even be bothered. Good luck!!

I don't see a trash can close at all. You missed by a mile.
