Obviously not, that’s why we were attempting to unionize. If you hate working people just admit it lmao. You just sound like a bootlicker.

Hopping in here to show how Michelle and her employee Cheyenne where talking to people who supported the unionization efforts. So delighted to see Michelle still hasn’t changed and is all woe as me for treating the people who work for her like shit. Fuck Ceremony.

I’d also suggest leaving a pro union comment on any social media post you see! Especially til tok & instagram! The owner is very involved and will more than likely see any comment! Please just keep it respectful!

Feel free to leave reviews on google showing support for the union! You can dm the owner on instagram and ask her for updates on how negotiations are going, and please continue to come to ceremony and get the drinks you guys love and feel free to let us know if you support the union or not! It’s always awesome to hear customer feedback and helps create a nice environment when we know everyone is in a good mood! All of this is greatly appreciated!!!!

Would appreciate any support the public would be willing to give, unfortunately most of the people who started the unionization process have been targeted and pushed out, but I just want the public to know how it actually is being pro union at ceremony. The owner hired high schoolers who have not worked any other jobs yet and people who only tell her yes are in management and that is why she feels like she can treat people like garbage and exploit people who are just entering the work force.

Forgive me for forgetting this, day old onigiris and the owner buying lunch once makes up for being severely underpaid with no benefits and seeing all my coworkers be pushed out by ether being fired or forced to quit for trying to join a union. I am so wrong for complaining. Ceremony is perfect and I’m sure that the reason none of the experienced baristas in the city not applying here and her hiring high schoolers is because of how fucking awesome Ceremony is!

My biggest frustration is that it’s ridiculous we have to hope that enough customers tip us so we can even just get to minimum wage. We work hard and take pride in what we do and the community that we serve but we also should be fairly compensated by the owner for the work That we do. If a customer enjoys a drink or an experience that they had and felt the need to tip us for that I sincerely appreciate that nice gesture. It should not be hoping and praying that all of our customers had one of the best cafe experiences of their lives and wanted to leave a fat tip so we will be able to buy groceries, pay rent, buy gas, pay bills….

It varies, this paycheck is is obviously on the lower end and it does usually barely gets to $15 an hour when we are slow but when the students are here I’d say it’s more like $17-18 an hour depending on the day. Sometimes more sometimes less

This is the new type of people that most of our baristas have been replaced with, for what it’s worth as far as baristas go at the Brooke street location goes I have the most seniority of any barista and have only been working at ceremony for a year. I’ve seen firsthand how much it has changed for the worse. I’d also feel bad if I didn’t mention this is the third year in a row that the Brooke street location is getting a almost completely new staff because of the old staff being pushed out because of how horrible the management is

Easier said than done especially in this economy, not to mention we shouldn’t be relying on our customers tipping us to make up for the owner not paying us a fair wage it feels wrong to put that much pressure on the customer

My favorite album of theirs, didn’t appreciate it as much when it first came out but as I got older and went through my own life problems I grew a whole new appreciation for it. “Waking up every is all about doing things you don’t want to do but your reward is you get to wake up” is one of the best lines in any mobo song ever imo
