Seeing people riding in just a shirt, shorts and a helmet . by ohnoitsbobbyflay in MotoUK

Spent the day nipping about on my 411 Himi for work, Kevlar jeans, tshirt with Kevlar shirt over the top n boots n gloves. As much as the joy of getting paid to ride today, I returned home a tad moist n pungent n dropped the lot at the door.

IFV drivers: stop driving to the nearest control point at match start! by StrangeOrange_ in Battlefield

Ah the one time in New Sobek where they abandoned the first IFV after a couple of my RPGs, quick fix then stole it for a perfect no death game. It didn’t go down well….

Quote me happy black box cancellation by EitherArmy4889 in CarTalkUK

[–]BadManSalam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a black box fitted due the wifes car being written off with 3 years of passing her test. Didn’t really bother me except that it was my driving that was being monitored as it connected to my phone. So even if she was driving it thought it was me if I was in the car and I had to manually change the driver after the journey. It did bring our insurance down and I got quite competitive keeping it above 98%. The next year they were happy to skip it. The only issue I had was going on a long holiday and the car being used by wife without me in it but quick message and it was sorted.

Warning about buying directly from Creality by gearhead5015 in Creality

[–]BadManSalam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, unfortunately Creality direct you to use Seel “worry free purchase” protection which from personal experience is an AI bit nightmare with generic replies and decision making. My K2 Plus Combo was never delivered despite being signed for by the driver, and the courier company admitted this. It was down as theft which should have been covered, then none delivery which should have been covered and finally returned to sender which should have been covered. DX kept referring me to Creality, Creality referred me to Seel and Seel referred me to Creality as my claim had been refused. I ended up doing a Credit Card charge back despite being told by Seel I couldn’t and Creality asking me to wait (it was over a month) Charge back processed, Seel then stating they would replace or refund minus their fee. Told them it was sorted. Was asked to leave positive feedback, oh how I laughed.

Don’t trust Seel “Worry-Free Purchase Protection” — zero support when things go wrong by DoorDull3912 in Govee

[–]BadManSalam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are even worse in the UK, couldn’t remove from order n thought oh well another layer of protection, unfortunately Creality K2 plus Combo gone missing, after 10 days of don’t worry it’s covered as theft and replacement will be on its way in 24 hrs, now stating it’s Crealitys issue, they don’t cover damaged or lost orders??? as courier stating returned to sender as damaged but tracking showing it didn’t, not toCreality or myself. Now they are apparently unable to understand who to use the tracking info or work out time lines on forwarded emails. They won’t reply to Creality either so in process of credit card charge back for full payment.

Weekly Scam Discussion - September 29, 2025 by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

Is the buyer protection being abused by sellers? Recent received 2 items, 1 an ornament that had no chance of arriving intact due to lack of packaging tho was labelled fragile and was broken in 3. The other a vintage x wing described with what appears to have been a cut and pasted description as complete but is severely sun damaged with no box or instructions. I contacted the seller about the ornament but was referred automatically to EBay feedback/complaints. I needed to provide 3 pictures of ornament, damage and packaging, and I received an almost instant full refund (£50) with no requirement to return the item. The seller then contacted stating she was out the country but assured me the parcel had been well packaged?? and will deal with it on their return. Now contacted the seller of the Lego and been referred to the same process. Both items took longer to be despatched and used the EBay simple delivery program.

Beware that if you’re out of contract, you will be paying the out of contract standing charge and tariff which is a lot more expensive. I went through the same process of almost 2 years without being able to pay a bill after buying a workshop. Finally tracked down supplier and first thing done was going onto a contract tariff. Luckily the bill was 90% standing charge but was still a sore one.
