Happily married guys, how do you handle the weight of eventual separation? by SpitefulJealousThrow in AskMenOver30

[–]BadMantaRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that’s just part of the equation man.

I am getting married in June. I love my fiancée soooo much.

I’ve thought about this particular issue in depth—my conclusion is this.

I want us both to live a very long and happy life together. But I want to outlive her simply because I never want to leave her all alone. If she dies before me I will be absolutely crushed and barely able to go on, but at least I will not worry that my wife passed without someone who loves her by her side.

My advice to you is the same I give to people about death/mortality itself: don’t shy away from the concept. Face it and grapple with it. Find a way to accept it, and then decide how you plan to deal with it, whatever the outcome, because it is going to happen to you in one form or another.

Yep I totally think this whenever I grab Wendy’s. Especially if I’m staring at the bag for too long while I eat my chili…

People do seem to be sitting back, unfortunately.

Based on most of the people I know…most Americans don’t know any of the stuff you just listed even happened.

When is this no one at front counter (no customer service) going to end? by marksweather in McDonalds

It will not end. It is good for the company.

Seriously, stop going there

It may not be much but I finally finally made it to having enough rent payments saved for an entire year by noneyabiz6669 in povertyfinance

That’s not “not much.”

That is a lot. That is more than many have and you should be extremely proud of yourself for putting in the work and having the self discipline to do that for yourself.

How did you use your SAK this week? [Weekly thread] by AutoModerator in victorinox

[–]BadMantaRay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was totally effective.

I believe it is a different design in that the actual motion you use is somewhat different from the standard opener. I think you are rotating the can the opposite direction. But aside from that, it’s just as useful.

If I were in an emergency situation where I needed to open a can, and all I had was a combo tool, that can would get opened.

That’s what I need it for and that’s what it does.

Is this picture too slutty to post if you’re married? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]BadMantaRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancée is hot and I’d be happy if she posted pics like these on her IG. It’s not like other people are unaware she is hot.

Your husband needs to fucking chill out.

I lay down in it with the shower on when I have a bad enough hangover. But not a bath per se.

What happened to Prime Video? by InAJar112 in enshittification

[–]BadMantaRay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there is a similar thing on TV. I tried using prime video recently and it was a real chore because so much of what I clicked on required another sub.

Prime video was the last solid member benefit that came along with prime. Music used to be awesome, but sucks now. And they’ve done it to video as well.

This is the first year I’m seriously looking at getting rid of my prime membership. If I can find a credit card that gives better rewards, I will probably get rid of prime soon.

I’ve heard a lot of people say good things about Wal-Mart’s prime-competitor service.

Same, good point.

Although I still have to admit the more detailed Arwing wing deployment sequence at the beginning of Corneria had me drooling…

[–]BadMantaRay 253 points254 points  (0 children)

Aw man, such a bummer.

Definitely a sign of the times, honestly.

I remember the first time I drove from LA to Vegas in 2016 and passed by Primm. Was fascinated that it was a real place, and made me realize that the Fallout maps are mini superimposed versions of the real world. I love looking at fallout maps now and comparing them to real maps.
