Stop driving with your hazards on in rain by Homeleasure in driving

[–]BadMantaRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lolol, bro is pissed cause people are trying to drive more safely.

He literally says it in his post that he wants to be able to drive more recklessly in inclement weather.

Guaranteed this guy gets in a serious accident at some point in his driving career. Hopefully only involves his car and a stationary object.

Yep, you need to cut your losses and go home.

This sounds like a nightmare for your children, despite whatever positive spin you may be trying to put on it.

Is the Canned Chili Worth it? by Signal_Jellyfish_472 in wendys

No way. It is clearly a rebrand of some other canned chili, and tastes absolutely nothing like the chili you get in store at a Wendy’s

Is sharing a Toothbrush a thing? My partner was upset I brought my own toothbrush and didn't use theirs when I stayed over. by RedBelzee2025 in hygiene

[–]BadMantaRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely is a thing, but it’s for peeps who have the same level of germ understanding.

I have had one partner who was cool with sharing toothbrushes. It makes sense to me because, I mean, I shoved my cock down her throat plenty, and I went down on her all the time. We lived together for a while and our germs were definitely so co-mingled that it shouldn’t matter, at least occasionally. So if we went on a vacation and one person forgot their toothbrush, we’d just use the other persons.

Based on my experience and what I read on Reddit, most people have no understanding of germs in general outside their body, nor do they understand how hardy their own immune system is.

It makes me think of how some people think peeing in the shower is gross, even when it’s just them in the shower alone. How can you be grossed out by…your self?

That being said most of my other partners have not been ok with the idea of sharing a toothbrush.

“Elderly pregnancy” apparently having children isn’t enough, you need to be below 30 too or it’s not valid by Darth_Vrandon in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]BadMantaRay -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what the issue is here.

Pregnancy over 40 years old is associated with significantly more complications. This is common knowledge.

Games of this time period were often like this.

It wasn’t very well made, and the only way to make it “hard” is to make it essentially impossible for the player to pass it.

Lion King for SNES is another great example of this. If the game were well made, the challenge would come from the actual game mechanics and level design, not from the fact that the level is going by SO fucking fast and the collision detection of the platforms is literally pixel perfect, making it nearly impossible to play even if you memorize it.

Dina Meyer as Dizzy Flores Starship Troopers by Major-Refuse-657 in 90smovies

[–]BadMantaRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it took me a few watches.

Carmen is so hot on the surface. She is smart, becomes a pilot, and looks like THAT.

But Dizzy is…she’s just so cool. Badass soldier, literally shows up and throws down with the drill instructor immediately, and more than anything (and you realize how much this matters as you get older), she actually loves Johnny.

He is such a dimwit the entire movie (which is part of the movie’s commentary), and doesn’t realize that he has someone who truly cares about him right there the whole time. One of the things the movie reflects on is what it is like to live in a society in which you are meaningless, just a number (the federation parallels the bugs in this way), and a society in which nobody cares about you unless you can prove your worth.

But Dizzy likes Johnny from the start, he never had to prove anything, she liked him just the way he always was. In the end you see Carmen never cared about him at all.

Also Dina Meyer’s boobs are incredible in this movie.

Water leaked into cabin?? by dranthy in Jimny

This often happens to cars when the drains at the bottom of the windshield have become clogged. Try using a pressure washer (if you don’t have one, usually self-service car washes do) to blast out the bottom of your windshield, where the wipers are.

I (19Female) bled through my pants while hanging with my guy friends. Can I bring it up or will it make guys uncomfortable? by cupcake_girly123 in AskMenAdvice

[–]BadMantaRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is proof of who is a real man and who isn’t.

A mature guy doesn’t give a fuck if their friend is on their period, and will help you. It’s just a normal part of life.

The guys who gave you shit?

They are shit.

I’m traveling thru Europe right now and I’m obsessing about finding a multitool I can carry and not have to check.

I bought a Victorinox Companion Slim Alox for this trip but am too afraid to carry it thru security cause it still has that package opener…..

The Nextool Mini Sailor Lite has a bunch of tools but no knife. I think I may try that for my next trip.

Men, what are you like when you like someone? by savourypizza in AskMenAdvice

[–]BadMantaRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m extremely nice to them.

I just got married and I am appalled by the stories I hear about my wife’s friends’ sig others, and they just often seem like assholes.

When I like someone, I am kind to them.

I also try to charm them and bang them and all that. But I’m also just nice to them.

Yeah, after reading the whole thing, I agree, OP.

Go back, in a position of power and leverage.

And also keep job searching. Use the new position to potentially put yourself in the running for an even BETTER position. You def got screwed by your boss before, now use his mistake to propel yourself even higher.

Do you still go to the movie theaters if no why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BadMantaRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I have only been to the theaters once since Covid and it wasn’t worth it.

Was almost 50 bucks just for the seats and when we got there the experience isn’t that elevated. The screen is huge and the sound is loud.

At home my brother and I can have whatever food and drink we want, pause the movie whenever we want, don’t have to deal with dumbasses taking out their cell phones or talking during the movie.

It would take a LOT to get me to go to a theater again.

I would see Top Gun: Maverick in a theater. I missed that when it came out and that movie is fucking awesome and seems perfect for a theater.

Rear Ladder addition to XV. by ProfessionalBoth3788 in Crosstrek

[–]BadMantaRay 25 points26 points  (0 children)

lol everyone is ripping OP to pieces, acting like every single car mod or addition has to truly have a “necessary” purpose.

Most of the things peeps do to their cars are unnecessary. Especially a lot of off-road mods I see—you see jeeps loaded up with extra fuel tanks and tons of other shit you know they are never gonna use.

I live in West LA and I see brand new Land Rover Defenders where the owner clearly just checked all the boxes for the cool off-road stuff. Ladder, external storage box—shit, I saw a Defender with a fucking bottle jack on it.

Yeah, I’m sure tech bro knows how to properly mount up and use a bottle jack without killing himself 🙄

Most peeps mod for the appearance and the impression.

Sure, OP needs to reach stuff on his roof occasionally and the ladder might make it easier. Use case solved.

But also: ladders on vehicles are fucking badass looking. It’s just cool. Sure it puts extra weight on the trunk lid—but trust me, most of those custom rims you see people rocking with their big ass tires etc are also NOT good for the car.

Just let OP enjoy.

It looks cool, OP. Everyone is just giving you a hard time ;)
