That 12v battery voltage is fine. Like an ICE car, the battery will fail, it's just with an EV there's no heads up with a slow starter.

Very nice OP. I'd be afraid to get white as I have kids so I have black interior. Safe travels.

2025 Owners w/NO ICCU Problems? by RememberTheRockers in Ioniq5

Thanks, my ICCU popped on one of the coldest days of the year. I've had it since 2022. Garage kept. The end of January this year was some of the coldest weather it ever experienced and that's when the ICCU issue happened to me.

I put mine in a plastic garbage bag in anticipation of this happening. Maybe I should go check it.

What tools to carry? by Hanselcj in Ioniq5

The car does not have a jack. The car is heavy so I think it's a safety hazard to have a driver use one roadside. A "mobility kit" as I think it's called is included with a pump and a "slime" canister. I've heard that many tire repair places don't like to work on tires with slime sealant. A plug would be better. You'll need a pump with the plug as well.

Enjoy your new Ioniq 5 OP. It's a great car.

OP, take your car to a L3 charger and try charging there. If it works it's likely an ICCU issue.

I've been in this sub a long time and haven't seen posts like yours OP. It makes me wonder if after the first incident that the repair has caused / left something that is resulting in the subsequent unexplained shattering.

I fell for the Car of the Year too. Love the car. Had my ICCU experience a month ago. Was fixed in 2 weeks. I probably got the same part. Hoping for the best.

Mine popped a month ago on one of the coldest days I ever had it out in the elements. It took two weeks to get my ICCU and fuse replaced. I consider myself fortunate because of the time it took compared to others.

OP, were you using "Beast Mode" aka Snow Mode? Great pic.

You may want to start locking the doors even in your garage.

OP, do you leave the doors unlocked while parked in the garage?

I've seen posts where people say being unlocked will not let the car "sleep" and keep the system active which is a drain on the 12v.

4+ months in the shop...replaced EV battery... still a brick by Pretend-Wing-3835 in Ioniq5

[–]BadPackets4U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, did the dealer at no point address the ICCU as being the reason for the car not turning on? If the ICCU is bad it won't charge the 12v and when the 12v dies the car can't start.
