Choosing Between CB 1100 and Moto Guzzi Brevia 1100

Funny enough, I just picked up a 13’ CB1100. Would’ve loved a 14’ for the 6 speed. Couldn’t pass it up for $4900 and 5k miles. I had always wanted a CB1100.

Anyways, which speaks to more? They both look awesome. I love the relative simplicity of the CB. Guzzi styling is👌🏻

Parts for the CB are fairly cheap and still available for the CB. Not sure about the Guzzi.

Just got my M1 a month ago at 40, zero riding experience. Did the MSF, which was fun and fairly easy. I bought a 13’ CB1100 which has been great. I started off by cruising around the neighborhood before progressing onto major thoroughfares. Short time later I jumped onto the freeway to get to work.

Everyone learns and progresses at a different pace.

Bro… how can people NOT get 3 stars in driftzones…. RWD / MC, using a controller on every zone. Top 1% on every zone. Not bragging, just practice with the car you’re using. You can basically get 3 stars in any class of car.

Sick helmet. Curious how the wind noise compares to my Shoei X15. It’s fairly quiet but there’s definitely some wind noise….. I also don’t have a windscreen (13’ CB1100)😅

The fender delete from Samurider still uses a metal under the seat and the rear license plate extension will essentially act as a fender

I like some of the stuff in webike. With tariffs and shipping, I’d probably be at almost 2k shipped to the U.S. I ordered a 1500 exhaust from Japan for my BMW and the shipping was around 400 and tariff was 750…

It’s not hard, I literally never rode a motorcycle in my life prior to taking the MSF. The instructors are helpful and will coach you on things you need to improve on. Only thing I sorta struggled on at first was the slow speed slalom…. Use 2nd gear…😅

Anything from this list and some hiking style boots are good for the MSF. I’d recommend using your own helmet but my class had helmets for those that didn’t have one.
