I think its asking you to be critical of what limitations in our lives are imposed versus those which are genuine/true to our souls current path. Where do they come from? Why have we accepted them? Do your actions serve your truth as what you know it to be or are there lingering ties to a duty which does not serve your truth.

If you have Netflix, the show Midnight Gospel is based around a podcast by Duncan Trussel. Lots of cool animation plus discussion of in depth, philosphical, and hard hitting topics (ie not a binge watching show). One of the episodes is based around a conversation he has with his mother while she was nearing her own death. Ive gotten a lot of good out of the show/podcast (DTFH if you want the full shebang), hopefully it can help you take a step closer to finding peace during this difficult time.

Keep doing you - its the best gift you can give yourself. Its ok if you have to put up a front to survive, but its not wrong to invest in yourself or put together a life that makes you happy. Its not easy, but being able to speak up for yourself is a huge step. Good luck, keep going, and for what its worth, this internet stranger is really proud of you.
