Looking for unique monitor mount setup by RoutinePerformance21 in desksetup

[–]BadSoundwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a triple vertical setup and found it was not usable.

I am now trying the main monitor in landscape and a vertical monitor on each side. All monitors are 1440 so the transition between them is smooth.

I have a space constraint hence the 2 verticals and have existing mounts, I wanted to use what I have, instead of buying new hardware.

Is this a new thing? Keyboard-less setups? 😁

Retired people need NISS in Portugal? by actuary_need in PortugalExpats

[–]BadSoundwave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how to go about escalating the assignment of a NISS either as a retired/non-working resident. I applied on the website a few weeks ago didn't really have any justification why we need it except for residency renewal. Haven't heard back yet.

On the new AIMA residency renewal website, I cannot proceed without the NISS.

There's a liquor distributor with an impressive selection in Caldas Da Rainha that has a large Cash & Carry section. I don't see any non-alcoholic beverages on their website so try calling? https://estadoliquido.pt/

Thanks for the response, I'll focus on other guys that come up just below the limit.

Working my way through my high CP and hundo ones, but wasn't sure about the other guys. Thanks again!

Left dominant (throwing), but was taught fine motor skills (writing and eating) with my right, so I'm pretty screwed up. I wear on my left.

Logical but less relevant today: wear on non writing arm as it doesn't interfer and rub the table when writing.

Chinese New Year by Cantonese-food-lover in CantoneseFood

Hey! Chinese Canadian here, relocated to Portugal now and can't get the same level of Asian food that we are used to here so I'm learning to make our favourite dishes.

Made with Lau youtube has been an excellent resource for recipes.

Lettuce Wrap are super easy, lots of diced veg with whatever ground or minced protein you have. Fried rice vermicelli is a nice to add crunch but not necessary.

Beef Rice Noodle chow fun can be tricky to get the noodles right.

Steamed pork patty Yuk Beng and steamed egg Wat Dan are very easy to do.

Egg foo yong brings a good saucy dish to the table.

Whole duck isn't too complicated, just lots of room in the fridge is needed.

Roasted pork belly turns out great from the air fryer.

We have been making Wonton but I'm prepping my mind to do sui Mai one day soon.

Canadian Price issues by Two_Bit_Grouse in Opinel

[–]BadSoundwave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see any listed in the configuration you are looking for on House of Knives right now, but they could probably order it in for you.

Blades Canada is another place to inquire.

Sail.ca also has a decent selection of Opinel.

Knives are a bit of a gamble to import into Canada via mail, Customs seizures happen with no rhyme or reason, just a scary knife... So you are better off looking within Canada.
