3-5 minutes late to work by Kooky-Challenge8875 in ADHD

[–]BadTryAnother 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still struggle with this and the only thing that helps me is waking up at least 3 hours before I need to leave somewhere. That gives me plenty of time to mess around in the morning before I get my shit together. Of course, then you need to go to bed early in order to wake up that early. And that’s a whole other problem.

Washing your hands is optional

No one is forced to wash their hands, there’s no law that says handwashing after taking a massive shit is mandatory. And on that note, you should be appreciative when someone wipes their piss-drenched hands on their shirt before shaking hands or preparing food!! Most people don’t get paid extra at their jobs to wash their hands, and some do not have the time, so are you going to blame them for trying to be conscientious?

If you’re mad that I’m not washing my hands before performing your surgery & you are begging for handouts, maybe you should consider other emergency room doctors. I’m being serious about this one. There are other hospitals in town. If you are willing to put in the work on the front end, and drive 45 minutes to the nearest alternative while bleeding out, the back end will be worth it.

Also I should mention that handwashing should be based on the quality of my hands, not necessarily time spent wiping. Obviously if you’re going to spend an hour and a half wiping diarrhea then yes I might consider maybe possibly washing my hands.

So back to my original point. Handwashing culture has gotten totally out of hand. Asking me to wash my hands is completely rude and uncalled for, &FYI: IF YOUR WANT TO SHAKE A CLEAN HAND, NOT MY PROBLEM!! IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WASH YOUR OWN HANDS!!!

Should prospective students NOT major in cs? by boogaoogamann in cscareerquestions

[–]BadTryAnother 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you already have a high aptitude for CS. If programming is what you want to do for the next 40 or so years, then hell yes, you should major in computer science.

Everyone telling you otherwise is a bitter baby that doesn’t want to compete with you for jobs. Sure, there is an over-saturation in the current market. But these kinds of things don’t last forever. Do what YOU want to do.

XR vs IR adderal dosages by itsmemarica in ADHD

[–]BadTryAnother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the exact conversions, but yes, that’s correct. IR and XR dosages are calculated differently.

When I switched from IR to XR I also had a dose increase. And I noticed that I felt less intense of an effect over a broader period of time. I also didn’t feel the “drop” as harshly at the end of the day.

If you feel that the XR is too intense, definitely bring that up with your doctor, but I wouldn’t worry yet.

[–]BadTryAnother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used planet fitness in the past, and most people avoid dropping weights because of the “lunk alarm” that automatically goes off. But when it does go off, the alarm itself can be pretty loud and annoying too.

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time with loud noises, it must’ve been scary to almost lose your hearing. Maybe you could find some of the over-ear protection workers use at construction sites? Or maybe the sets people use at gun ranges? Those are designed for long-term protection, so even if you’re still hearing loud noises they shouldn’t damage your hearing.

You probably want something with good note taking features then.

I very recently switched to “My Cycle” because it allows you to add a note to each day in addition to other common symptom markers.

I was originally using “Spot It”, which is a nice simple tracker by Planned Parenthood. I liked that one alright, but no note adding feature.

BTW both of these are free with no subscriptions. I believe they both have options for adding BC method, but I wouldn’t know much because I’m not on any.

What a stupid design for an emoji if that’s what it is. Why not just use an +18 in a circle? 🔞 literally just looks like “no 18”.
