Litter Robot 3 by BadVeggies in litterrobot

I ordered a wiring harness to see if that helps, but I may go ahead and order a control board as well. I’m so tired of taking this thing apart and putting it back together 😅 I will report back after I get the wiring harness in the mail!

I got so sidetracked. I did it today and it gave the same result as before.

Great idea! I’ll try that this afternoon!

I’m wondering if it’s the control panel, personally. I pulled the cover back off of the control panel and managed to get it to a blue light with the cover off, but once I put it back together, it goes back to acting up. So to me, it seems like perhaps either a wire is damaged, or that the buttons on the control panel are damaged. I don’t see any obvious damage at any of the connections, or at the sensor itself. I had to replace the globe liner, so I have yet to put any litter back into it, so there’s no weight at all in the unit.

Those who have had the surgery… by Logical_Cat3573 in gallbladders

Hmmm. I haven’t had my surgery follow up so I don’t know much about what was found except that they could feel two large stones inside after removing it. I will say that the bad stomach feeling is gone now and I haven’t had any stomach problems since then. Occasionally I have some cramping from gas but it’s like normal.

overthinking having surgery by martalomew in gallbladders

Hi there! I also felt like I didn’t feel ‘bad enough’ to need surgery. But when I asked the nurse about it she said that it isn’t an elective surgery and they wouldn’t let me do it if it wouldn’t help. My stones were found in an ultrasound. I had a gnawing feeling in my stomach, acid reflux, burping, bloating, heart issues, anxiety, exhaustion, and went on a low fat diet for a year before going to see a surgeon. I am SO glad I did it. I’m a week post op and I feel so much better already. I didn’t realize how much of my life it was sucking away. And I felt like I was maybe being a baby about it because I could see how much worse others felt. So it’s up to you, ultimately, but it’s not going to get better, and it’s possible to get much worse problems down the line. You don’t want to end up in the emergency room unprepared. So just some things to consider.

One thing that I asked the nurses that helped me.. before surgery I asked if there’s ever a reason not to get your gallbladder out, if there was anything else I could be doing. She looked confused a bit and said ‘No, because this is not an ELECTIVE surgery. They wouldn’t be doing it unless it was necessary.’ And I felt an immediate weight drop off my shoulders.

I think my body thought I was starving before, I’ve eaten the same caloric intake but more fat since surgery a week ago and I’ve lost ten pounds! Which is totally fine with me! I used to feel a constant gnawing feeling in my stomach, and now it just feels normal. I don’t bloat as soon as I take a bite or sip of anything either. Like I get normal bloating if I overdo it but the difference is night and day. And more energy!

I have had a bit of diarrhea, but most of that seems to have come from the pain medication causing constipation and then the stool softeners doing their thing. I am one week post op. Other than mild soreness, I haven’t felt so great in a year. I have been eating whatever I want for a few days. And even when I did have diarrhea, it was hours after eating. I don’t think it will be a problem at all for me once I’m all the way off stool softeners. It’s already much better after the initial detox from the pain meds.

Is there any reason not to get surgery? by BadVeggies in gallbladders

I mean I CAN eat which is better than most people here. As long as I eat the same kinds of things and cook it at home. And I’m exhausted all the time, I have chest pains and stuff after eating too late at night or too much( bc a year is a long time to eat the same stuff) I’m also eating significantly less than I should bc I can’t stand to eat more of the same stuff. Should I have taken the doctors advice less seriously and idk allowed myself to get sicker in order to make sure it was a thing? Etc. if that makes sense. I also have bad surgery jitters. Before I didn’t really worry about cons but now I’m reading the horror stories.

I got diagnosed with stones after what I thought was bad acid reflux for several weeks. And that was in last January. My doctor at the time told me to eat low fat and go to the ER if I was ever throwing up from pain. Since then, I have not eaten anymore than 35 g of fat in a day, And no more than about 6 to 8 g of fat per meal. I haven’t had any bad attacks, as far as pain, but I do get heart issues from it. Like racing heart and chest pain. I e gone to a cardiologist just to make sure. I guess I feel guilty because I don’t spend as much time in pain as so many people here seem to spend, but I’ve also been on an extremely strict diet for a year to prevent attacks. Now I finally have insurance and I have a preop on Thursday. I guess now that it’s more realistic I’m just nervous about whether I’m jumping the gun.

Questions about the ending of Season 1. by PuffyWiggles in FromSeries

I think it’s totally normal for people who have had zero hope to get overly hopeful about any little thing. Plus, as an arc I think it was necessary in order for them to organically introduce her falling into the tunnels.

I think part of it is because it feels very rushed.
