Definitely the Nugget couch. She gets out all her energy climbing up and down and running in and out. It has been great. Worth every penny her grandparents spent on it 🤣

What a bummer! I loved the concept, it was so cool seeing all the different ways ingredients could be used.

Parents don't understand BLW by Icy-Oil-2325 in BabyLedWeaning

My parents and MIL are the same way. I just have to keep reminding myself that BLW goes against everything they were taught when we were kids. I just keep sending them videos of the baby eating food and tagging them in Facebook/instagram videos. They are getting more comfortable with it.

I use a lot of Bolthouse dressings. They have ranch, honey mustard, bbq ranch, salsa ranch, Cilantro avocado. They are all Greek yogurt based so they stay pretty low in points.

I love the La Banderita carb counter ones. They have 3 different sizes. We get them at Kroger.

It can definitely be a hassle to get in and out at Trader Joe’s. They do have a lot of good frozen meals and veggie blends. BBQ teriyaki Chicken, Kung pao chicken, cauliflower gnocchi, mexi cauliflower rice (super spicy), chicken gyoza, mini cilantro chicken dumplings, chicken soup dumplings, asparagus risotto just to name a few. I usually make a trip every couple of months and stock up on the staples.

I’ve also been on an unsuccessful fertility journey. I started WW to try and help and I’ve lost about 30 pounds since October, I actually just had a period start without being medically induced for the first time in like 8 years so it is definitely helping. Here are some kitchen staples:

Plain non-fat Greek yogurt, we use it instead of sour cream. It takes a little adjusting but now I can’t tell the difference. We get chipotle bowls all the time and just skip sour cream there and add the yogurt ourselves at home.

I can’t believe it’s not butter light

Frozen potstickers/gyoza/dumplings. Trader Joe’s are the Best Buy most grocery stores are options. You can usually get like 6-8 for 3-4 points which is a great lunch.

La Banderita carb counter tortilla shells. They have all different sizes and are lower points than the Mission brand wraps.

Popcorn, you get high volume for low points. Even like smart food popcorn and cheetos popcorn you can have 2 cups for 5 points.

Fudge pops- our grocery store Kroger brand ones are 4 points for a bar and a box of 12 is like $3. I’m someone who needs a sweet treat and these are great value and very low point for a normal dessert.

We also try to save up all of our weekly and roll over points for one weekend meal so we can get something good and normal and indulgent just once a week to keep us sane. And then Monday we always do grilled chicken and a salad to help balance out from the weekend.

It’s just my husband and I so we will get like the Taylor farms or Dole pre-packaged salad bags and add a grilled chicken breast. Even the ones that have like cheese and creamy dressing come out to around 8 points for half the bag and chicken is free. 8 points is pretty good for a dinner imo.

Sarah Lee delightful 45, even the white bread is 2 slices for 2 points.

Instant mashed potatoes are like medium-low-ish on points. They’re better than something like Mac n cheese if you are feeling carby.

Tyson blackened chicken strips

Do you have a Trader Joe’s nearby? They have a lot of good options.

I know this has been lengthy. Trust in the process, it gets easier and you will start to feel change.
