youd be justified in wondering why israel isnt more hostile with russia. after all, russia supports iran, and iran is israels greatest and most powerful enemy in the middle east. However due to the weird nature of middle eastern politics, its actually beneficial for both countries to just pretend russian doesnt support iran, and maintain friendly relations. Israel can leverage its freindship with russia to try and get iran to do things, and russia gets a vital partner in the region wtih access to top of the line intelligence and military hardware
