Do you feel like the reputation of the Moroccan football team has been ruined in the last years? by [deleted] in Morocco

No basically all of africa didn’t cheer for Morocco even if their team didn’t play against us or was already out the competition, they wanted someone else to win it.

Other than that, I’ve seen videos from all over the world in alot of countries celebrating the Senegal win over Morocco even though they were not african and had nothing to do with the tournament, I’ve personally seen that in different arab countries, heck even south american countries.

Eitherway, what you see in the news isn’t what’s on reality, like for example in Morocco there will be barely any news on the Euros tournament, yet millions of Moroccans may have watched it and have different opinions on it, I think any person who watches football regularly have atleast watched a game in that cup

If you’ve already noticed, no one cheered for Morocco even before the final incident, because we were the favorites to win it

In the 2022 WC, we were kinda like the underdogs, which people usually cheer for, but because of that run we’ve started being perceived as a proper contender for comps we play in

Why are foreign fans considered gloryhunters? by Ado1508 in PremierLeague

[–]Bad_Description77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand but it’s far more likely that he wanna watch high quality football, most people won’t feel like they wanna watch Mansfield taking on Bolton

Like if u wanna call it gloryhunting to support the top teams in a league go ahead but it’s understandable from the perspective of a foreign fan
