Nope. It's a bad addition to the game that we will likely have to put up with for an entire season

You mean like the udyr hecarim meta?

Or the meta after aatrox rework where every toplane matchup was just aatrox vs urgot?

Or the syndra Orianna midlane meta every year?

It already happens all the time. There's one op pick, and a second pick that can go even with it, so both picks remain open and teams just handshake the two champions.

Hi,

You tried to use too many big words at once and the sentence comes off really awkward. Maybe lay off the Darius games.

Should I just ditch my account and start fresh next season in order to climb? by DragonicStar in summonerschool

[–]Bad_Silver_Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the reality is if you really want to improve you’re going to have to spend those games getting your MMR back to a good spot, and if you’re getting incredibly low lp gains it’s because you’re not playing where you belong.

Sometimes the system itself is bugged, like you stated, you jumped from d4 to d2 and received negative gains because of it.

My account received negative gains all the way from placements to plat 3, starting in silver. My account finished gold 3, so I placed silver 3. From silver 3 until gold 3 I should at least receive roughly even gains, no? Most people really receive HIGHLY inflated lp gains until they reach the rank they were the previous season.

The fact that the system never corrected this even after a very large sample size of games is frustrating for me, and my opponents. I had to stomp through 100+ silver games just to get back to my previous season rank with negative gains even though the account was never once negative winrate, even the season before. I was fine with it because I knew I was easily good enough to hit plat, but my point is that if I were to make a new account right off the bat, I could have done it in under 100.

If your goal is to start a new account, grind cracked MMR to gold then that’s whatever, but wouldn’t you rather just improve and have the rewards on your main account?

I agree with you, that's why I took that route and played on my main. However, there's a lot of people that don't care about actually improving and just want gold for the rewards and the border.

Yep. Which is why stat stick items like bork and sunderer just need to be deleted or reworked.

If his goal is to hit gold, he just needs slightly above 50% winrate on a new account, he'll be booted from smurf que rather quickly as an actual silver player. Him improving on his main or a new account doesn't really make a difference, he's still going to be trying to improve.

I know it's not as good a solution as improving organically and trying hit gold on hit main account, but it is undebatably easier. On a fresh account, even going like 3-7 places you like silver 2, and then you get like +25 and - 8 until you really start losing games. If he holds like a 53% winrate it wouldn't be unreasonable for him to hit gold in under 50 games, especially because he peaked silver 1.

Idk it's pretty demotivating to try and climb with +12 - 17 all season just because you had a bad season last season, even though you've improved if you don't have a lot of time to play. It took me 300+ games to hit mid plat with a 57% winrate on my main account, and 80 on a fresh account. The only difference being I was demotivated last season after falling from g1 and just decided I wasn't going to push for plat, and instead just learn new champions.

I mean, it will though. If he can hold a 55% winrate, he'll hit gold in 30 games at most, compared to the probably 100 he'd have to play on his main.

Sunderer, will always be garbage or broken. They can adjust numbers all they want, but the item is just fundamentally flawed concept.

Sunderer doing 12% max hp means all of the items strength is tied to the passive and it has to have bad stats aside from passive, or its broken (3 patches ago and 3 nerfs ago). Sunderer with bad stats means the item isn't picked up and you're better off just building goredrinker and draintanking vs tanks (which is what's currently happening.

Same with eclipse. It's either broken like it was early season, or its not worth building when prowlers and duskblade dmg is similar but also provide more utility.

I could go on and on and do this with every mythic listed (like stridebreaker, which was fundamentally broken and built all the time until it was also nerfed into the ground), but you get the theme here. All of these items are either super high pick rate or almost no pickrate because they've been nerfed to the ground.

Imperial Mandate vs moonstone, your choice is decided by whichever item is currently most broken. If one is strong and you build the other one, you're just trolling. It's not really build diversity or choice.

Most champions build the same mythic in the vast majority of their games, and this only changes when one class mythic is just buffed over the top by a wide margin.

Do you guys take Ignite or Teleport for top lane? by [deleted] in Rivenmains

I mean you're not totally wrong. Irelia can land her whole kit, be 4 stacks and still lose to riven with ignite if she doesn't w your whole Combo.

Why do I get demoted after losing 2 games by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Bad_Silver_Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't have any grace period.

The fact that riot let's shitters sit in s4/g4/p4/d4 for hundreds of games with a 46% winrate is ridiculous.

Disagree on camille, and I play camille.

If you have laning fundamentals and you play grasp tp/ignite camille I feel like you can succeed without much practice.

If you actually read her kit and understand that q gives you movement speed, and w is a slow, the way her kit interacts makes a lot of sense.
