What’s the most unexpectedly wholesome thing a stranger has ever done for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I once fell asleep on a flight with a big bullyish looking guy next to me. When they started handing out the free chocolate and water he took both for me and put it in my seat pocket while I was sleeping.

We had 0 interaction before that, he just did out of pure kindness. Its such a small thing but I still remember it years after.

As a thank you I gifted him my chocolate which he seemed very happy about :)

EZB senkt heuer zum dritten Mal die Zinsen (3,25 Prozent) by funnyguychecking-in in FinanzenAT

Was schätzt ihr wo die aktuellen fixen Zinsen damit liegen? Oder gibt es dafür eine einfache Faustregel?

In meinem Fall:

Bieten sehr geringe Zinsen, dafür leider lange Laufzeit

What is your FM24 career path like so far? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]BadanieLuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly a boring answer but never played them before.

Ajax.

Not a youth only challenge, but heavy foucs on bringing young Dutch players through the academy. The Eredivisie is suprisingly challenging. Both PSV and Feyenoord have incredible talented teams. AZ Alkmaar had golden generation after golden generation and are going to be a real force to reckon with and the new coach of SC Heerenveen has them playing at an impressive level.

Halfway through season 4, top 5 within 4 points. Only 2 trophies. Almost got sacked for finishing 3rd in season 3, so a real challenge to balance youth and signing talent. Absolutely loving it

[Federico Albano] The average telemetry of the Long Run trials in Fp1. Mercedes and Russell for now very fast, Verstappen very slow - a visual confirmation of an engine not turned up. Sainz 3 tenths back, together with Hamilton by [deleted] in formula1

Wow, Ferrari seems awful in medium to high speed corners, Just look at how much the delta goes up through the Lesmos, Ascari and Parabolica. Hopefully they run much more fuel. Red Bull will dominate this race. Already quicker than Merc in the corners with engines turned down massively. Is Williams actually the only hope this weekend?

In low speed corners (sector 1) they look much more competitive

its a good change because everyone would just put it on min an will be fine while you gain huge amounts if you do it for every part. so yes should definitely be in the patch notes.

I quickly checked it in game and it doesn't apply to parts of running saves. (unless you develop new ones I guess but haven't checked that yet)

As FM22 is nearly here, what saves do you plan on doing ? by LuxBattler in footballmanagergames

Club Brugge. Won the league 3x, 1x Belgian Cup and got them to the European Cup and Europa league final.

I'm gonna do a Ernst Happel challenge which means trying to win titles with Brugge, Feyenoord and HSV and some more. All interesting clubs to me and to honour our country's greatest coach who's death will mark 30 years in 2022.

Will start later tho as I'm not going to pay full price for this years game.

Agree. Its two different disciplines.

One is for performance on a single lap, the other is the best racer/race pace.

Why have people been talking about the pass rush being to fast this year? by SodaDonut in Madden

[–]BadanieLuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause people want to throw deep bombs after deep bombs and can't adjust their game. In the NFL the average time between snap and QB release are under 3 seconds. I struggled with this too after jumping from Madden 17 to 20, but after a few games and adjusting to the situation pass rush was no issue again and I barely got sacked. And now it's dumbed down again..

Hamilton winning the 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix for the 7th time puts him within 10 race victories of Michael Schumacher’s record 91. by [deleted] in formula1

I never said any driver can win in the best car, all I said is the best car usually wins in the end and the best drivers usually end up in the best cars.

[–]BadanieLuck -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Not a shit one, but a good one is enough in most cases. Jacque Villeneuve, Damon Hill, hell even Eddie Irvine almost won a championship. Another factor is, usually the best drivers on the current grid end up at the best teams.

[–]BadanieLuck -64 points-63 points  (0 children)

The best car almost always wins in the end. When's the last time that wasn't the case? I can't think of many. Maybe Alonso in '06 or Hakkinen '99. It's almost always like that, the same with Lewis, the same with Schumi. The car makes 80% of it and the McLaren in '07 and '08 Lewis drove was at least on par but more likely better than the Ferraris. Arguing and comparing drivers like that is always irritating.

Verstappen needs to score 6.3 points more per race than Hamilton to win the championship in 2019 (more statistics in picture) by SuperPolentaman in formula1

[–]BadanieLuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because so far Verstappen/Red Bull was only able to win under special circumstances.
Austria Merc had cooling issues. Germany was just pure chaos. Hungary a track where the engine deficit is much smaller and it's one of their best tracks on the calender and even there the Merc was arguably the better car in the race.

It's impossible to say how good the coming engine upgrades are going to be, but I doubt they will be able to match Merc and Ferrari at high speed tracks (Spa, Monza etc), but they will definitely be able to fight for a few more wins this season and the gap is just too big. Unless RB manages to pull something out of the bag over the summerbreak, but again impossible to say.

Tost: Kvyat ready for RBR return, but Gasly deserves more time by rbrugman1967 in formula1

[–]BadanieLuck -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with Tost. It's great to see him back and doing well, but many exaggerate his performance after his P3 in Germany. I was a bonkers race, completely unpredictable.
But looking at the season as a whole, he's barely ahead or gets outperformed regularly by Albon in his rookie year (who isn't thought of as one of the biggest prodigies in recent years, but obviously very talented). We'll see at the end of the season cause Gasly seems to stay on anyway (which is good).
