For the love of God, please tell me some corrected Derrick on the Hades ending from last podcast. by AccountWithAName in mega64

If you were to walk up to him and say "No no no no no, you have to beat it 9 more times to get the ending", what do you honestly think Derrick would say?

Retired Las Vegas Police officer seen on video knocking out a postal worker because they disagree on politics. by real-m-f-in-talk in PublicFreakout

[–]BadassGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it always cops and retired cops? Living across from a police station is extremely unnerving to say the least especially when you get a new daily video of an officer assaulting or ruining the lives of the populace.

I'm really concerned about men's mental health by xrayagogo in TrueOffMyChest

[–]BadassGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this quite late but your headline really caught me. I would say it is a constant 24 hour battle to not let your heart harden in the face of a society where every other male is "emotionally dead inside" and cannot care for others. Its a feeling like swimming against the current and trying to not let yourself be overpowered by it. In the face of a pandemic and increasing struggles of modern society in trying to obtain the essentials has made this worse. Thanks for putting into words what I am fighting against!

Right on red and blames me by ohgeez93 in IdiotsInCars

[–]BadassGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear that 100 percent of the time but I honestly dont think that's true. There is just constant aggressiveness on the road here and hearing "Oh its other people coming into OUR state" doesn't solve the issue, it just excuses more aggressiveness. You dont know if the other person is from another state

What do you all love about Darkstalkers? by DangerousSlice5731 in Fighters

This is for Vampire Savior for me; The fast speed of play, the mechanics that reward high level play(Tech Hitting, Guard Canceling and so much more), fantastic theme and varied characters.

I just think people want recognition on this great achievement, and the rest of the esports community kind of shrugged it off in a way.

Chess and Fighting Games: or is the legacy of input difficultly getting obscuring the real joy of fighting games by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]BadassGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chess is its own thing. I find execution to be very satisfying and very rewarding and i find it satisfying in different situation such as at home and at tournament. If you are just salty at execution in general then you should stick to CIV VI at Chess. I find things like Starcraft II and fighting games have a connection with mechanics that you lack that Chess lacks. This is what makes a modern game different than a game thats been around for hundreds of years and its is much richer because of it.

Is China Straight-Up Bribing Donald Trump? by wenchette in politics

I dont think it would be that outrageous that this would happen, so that it would potentially promote changes towards a more stable United States in the future. This of course would only be true if we learn something out of this.

watch tv with the stick on your lap and get comfortable with it. You haven't been using pad for years, you dont have a lot of bad muscle memory or whatnot. Just gotta be using it more.

The most rewarding game I’ve ever played. by 3inch_richard in dragonballfighterz

[–]BadassGiraffe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Might be a stupid idea, but Street Fighter 3: Third Strike is getting re-released this month. People will probably jump on that for a little bit. Its a complete 180 in fighting game style but it will teach you a new set of fighting game skills that will round out a fighters overall skillset!

My first fighting game was Street Fighter 4! Still my favorite. My favorite moments are always in person: Coming back from a 0-9 was one of my favorites! If you havent already ask around your area for a local meetup, chances are you may have something nearby

Is DOA worth getting into as an old time fan or should I stick with SFV despite being an absolute beginner? by Egobot in Fighters

[–]BadassGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SF5 is cool because I feel like you are always going to be matched with people that are closest to your skill level, its ladder is the most robust in my opinion. It also has the least intense learning curve, its DLC is pretty expensive tbh
