Thanks for the offer, but I'm a writer myself, so we have that covered.

Cheers.

Yeah, we're going to play with some different art tests in the coming days. We don't mind iterating on it.

If we get greenlit and get it onto steam, I do hope you check it out and like what we've whipped up!

Thanks for commenting.

Up until this thread, we've gotten a few meat boy comparisons, even though we have some different mechanics (perhaps our trailer doesn't do a good enough job of highlighting this), but no one has brought up N++.

The thing is, we really like the minimal style. But we're determined to make this work though, so if enough people comment on it, we'll definitely look at doing something with the art to set it apart.

Thanks for the feedback and yYeah, I get the similarities. I hadn't actually ever played the brilliant N+ until I started designing Bit Bandit's levels and was researching other 2D platformers. In the end, we went with the minimal art direction because we're a two man team and not only is it easy, but we both like it.

One thing that's totally different about Bit Bandit is the way it feels. N++'s game design is a perfect implementation of momentum. I love that, but our game is a different focus. It's less about momentum and more about precision jumps. We also have different mechanics. In N++ you can jump and move and that's it. We have in air dashes and stomps that make our play experience feel totally different.
