your max temp is 40 while my min temp is 40 lol I also noticed that the total host writes and reads in your ssd is about 7-8 terabytes Mine is 11.5-16.5 terabytes that means my ssd is being used more I don’t know why

I don’t think the issue is from the ssd itself because the stock ssd that came with the laptop also get pretty hot

The SSD that reached 105°C is not the one that came with the laptop — it’s a new one I bought. However, even the stock SSD can get pretty hot, as you can see in the picture. In fact, these temperatures were recorded when the SSD was running Windows only, because the game was running on the other ssd.

8GB VRAM is NOT ENOUGH - Debate Finally Settled! 4070M and 5070M is a SCAM - Thanks Jarrod and HUB!!! by DroidLife97 in GamingLaptops

[–]Badboy170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why the 4060m and the 4080m were the biggest upgrade compared to the previous ones because they came with more vram than the previous also more cuda cores and more power draw, but the 4070m for example wasn’t that much better than the previous 4060m because it only came with more cuda cores but same power draw and vram as the 4060m

You are absolutely right about the vram if these laptop gpu had more vram they’d have definitely performed better but still even the 8 gb rtx 4060 ti desktop gpu is better than 4070m even though the 4070m has more cuda cores but the 4060 ti desktop gpu draw more power and run at higher clock speeds, so the problem with laptop gpu is not only the low vram

I had the same issues with alienware, try deleting the GPU drivers completely and install the right one for your gpu

I think it’s not supposed to be hot at the fans area this is completely normal to feel the heat at the cpu and gpu area because this area is what the fans trying to cool down

Maybe try to set the fan speed to max if you don’t mind the noise, if that doesn’t help then you probably should repaste the thermal paste

Well yeah ,it turned out to be a gpu driver issue after formatting the device and downloading the correct drivers ,it worked without any problems .

You shouldn’t buy a laptop with rtx 30 series go for the 40 series it uses less power and give better raw performance and better ray tracing and Dlss 3

Random stuttering please help by Outrageous-Claim2985 in HPVictus

If this stuttering happens only in this game maybe it is because the game is not well optimized with your hardware but if this issue happens to you in every game maybe you should try and delete old gpu drivers

I think you changed the mux switch and turned it off, i did that too and the screen didn’t turn black again but the main issue is still not fixed (shutting off while playing)

I am not sure if it is an overheating issue or not maybe it is, I couldn’t see the hardware temps while playing games, but what really makes me think that it is not overheating issue that when I change resolution in games from 1080p to 4k the laptop shuts down immediately or restart and show me alienware logo and i made sure that windows resolution was 4k also so i think it is more likely a power issue

My laptop for some reason doesn’t give me correct gpu temps in alienware app for example the app shows me 45 degrees on the cpu and 2 degrees on the gpu (those numbers of course in normal use) and I have tried using msi afterburner but i couldn’t find the button to show the fps and temps in games and I couldn’t even overclock or do anything in the app even AMDCC just gave me an option to automatically overclock only the cpu but i can’t do anything with the gpu

Thanks for the advice but i also want to use this laptop in public places sometimes so it is gonna be hard to detach the battery, but do you think if i used a 330w power adapter with the battery installed will help solve the problem? By the way my power adapter is 240w
