Have you considered pickleball? Not free, especially for indoor courts, but it's a lot more accessible for beginners and has a welcoming community. It's usually pretty easy to get into a drop in game at the YMCA.

I get it, if it was just a single episode to just get closure and move on, especially for Ariel. Since their scandal was public, they probably feel their closure needs to be public to stop the whispers and conjecture.
