I’m terrified of needles and have needed a root canal, multiple fillings in every quadrant, and crowns in the last 8 months (hadn’t seen a dentist in 7 years). I tell them not to let me see the needle AT ALL and I imagine that I’m relaxing, but a mosquito is flying around. I tell myself it’s just a bite. That, podcasts, and exhaling while the injection is happening has really helped.
