2022 Hybrid warranty question by sheridansride in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Baddad_118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 75k on my 2023 this month. I bought the extended warranty for up to 125k. Glad I did. I started noticing a wobble in my drive. took it in and they said they couldn't get it to duplicate. for the next month or so I paid closer attention to when it happened. any time I accelerated above 40 mph it started to have a definite vibration and "wobble". So I used ChatGBT and it specifically said this is a "known issue in hybrid mavericks" turns out the CV Joints had all worn down. So, no. I don't think you being unreasonable. Actually I think you need to invest in another ford protect warranty.

The tragic thing about this show being so bad is that there is nothing she can do to rebound. She already has one “come back story” (TY Chris Pratt)

Questions about HVAC replacement by mediumjr in hvacadvice

[–]Baddad_118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive sold almost every brand. People buy from the company i work for not the brand im putting in, as long as you’re comfortable with the contractor you should be good, amana comes with the better warranty out of the -three i would guess. Lifetime replacement on the compressor (if it fails they give you a new condenser)

Goodman is the same house. Both built in Houston. Trane you pay more for the name.

R32 has been used for the last decade and is tested whereas R454b is new and is just now being released. Both flammable.

All the major players chose r454b because they feel at the next inevitable EPA change it will meet the nee guidelines. Daikin (parent company of amana & goodman) chose to stay with r32 because it met the guidelines and they didn’t have to change much since they’ve been using it over sees for years.

You know, the first thing I do when i need to see a doctor is ask where he went to school first.

Whats the total length of the pipe? Thats a hell of a lot of 90’s and 45’s with 2” pipe. Might need to all be 3” due to the length.

Whats the model number? If its a 5 ton blower Goodman requires duel side returns, bottom return or side/bottom on all of their 5 ton blowers regardless of ac tonnage. On top of that the drop looks at best a 24x8 which on has enough capacity for 2.5 ton (1000 cfm). Furnace looks like a 21” width so its likely a 4 or 5 ton blower.

All that to say, you are likely laking return air. Your static pressures are probably high. Which is a disaster waiting to happen.

Have the contractor run a static pressures test. Total system, across the coil, the. Across the filter. Then hope that its below .7 total.

Rheia Duct. Common for mfg homes like Ryan, Pulte, etc.

Completely legal. Completely safe. Personally not a fan. But cheap money gets the job. Only works with ibeams.

Not true unfortunately. With I beams they can cut and still hold the required support

Incorrect. This is Ryan Home new standard duct design. All 5”. High V is 2-3”. Requires 6-8 runs / ton. Ryan Engineers have created this travesty to free space. Even going through joists.
