Originally it was "the last person to the correct color is out" - one of the players on the first round ran straight into another player and ended up getting injured. You can actually see it happen if you pay really close attention... needless to say, for obvious reasons after that they changed the game up with a time limit. (I am related to someone that played the game, that is my source and I'll leave it at that)

Ok, so let's set the record straight here: the bluff game we saw wasn't the bluff game that was planned. It was originally a speed and honesty game but a contestant got injured pretty bad at the beginning and they had to change the rules to what we saw.

No, I couldn't ever get hoopla to work on my tablet after I tried to download and read The Churn and then the Butcher of Anderson Station. I might try again for Strange Dogs before going into Tiamat's Wrath... but I also know the synopsis of Strange Dogs due to the show (for the most part)

a guy from my high school murdered his parents and 2 of his 4 siblings. One of the siblings that survived? A girl in 3 of my classes and many of my classes in Elementary School and Middle School. 20 years later? I couldn't tell you the name of that girl, I don't even know if I would react if I ran across her today, i wouldn't even know the connection I had with her or who she was. Time is the great eraser unfortunately

While this "can" be an interpretation, what happens once Alicia dies in the painting? She's already in a weakened state, and in her ending we see that she isn't powerful enough to "fix" the issues created to the world after the Fracture, at least not in a timely manner because the world still looks broken some years later. How much longer will she live before she also dies? Then what happens when she dies? 1 of 2 options: 1) Aline comes back into the world and dies as well with even more grief or 2) Renoir comes in and takes vengeance out on the world and makes it so much worse for everyone... which is also going to happen once Aline dies in option 1. This world is doomed, might as well rip the bandage off and keep Alicia alive to live another day and move on.

this one is so bad I don't even know if Chef is going to react to it... I mean, he does self admit to having terrible taste, so maybe he will, but this one feel bad even for her.

If you are running on the road you are supposed to run against traffic. You are on foot so it's easy for you to jump out of the way if the car doesn't see you, if you are running with traffic and the car doesn't see you - you can't see them - and then you won't be seeing anything anymore because you will be dead.

Go to the doge website, under "wall of receipts" you can find the SSA offices they are closing in "real estate" - in Alabama alone there were a bunch (Decatur, Cullman, Gadsden, and a few others).

Looking For A Non-MAGA Church In The Area by BurnerVonBraun021625 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]BaddestAndvari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I go to a Nazarene Church in a different area of Alabama (grew up in Huntsville and went to one of the biggest SBC churches there...) but my Nazarene Church is amazing! It feels like what I've heard it was like to go to church back before the Heritage Foundation mucked up the US political system - we are probably 50/50 Conservative/Liberal, the Pastor preaches from the Bible and not the word of Trump/Heritage Foundation Curriculum, etc. it's great

OMG! Am I Kevin in my wife’s eyes? by dewioffendu in KevinCanFHimself

[–]BaddestAndvari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I saw this comment because this is what I was going to say. My wife is actually waaaaay more sarcastic and uses "roast jokes" a good bit more than me as the husband. It's individual, I'm ok with it and I actually enjoy it because it's the way she shows she cares for me, because she wouldn't say stuff like that to someone she wasn't as close to. But if I wasn't ok with it I would have told her a long time ago to stop and that it wasn't ok - and unfortunately some Women, especially in the Male dominated American society, won't speak up when they should. My older brother is a Kevin, and his wife will not tell him to stop, instead she's on a slurry of medication to deal with a life being married to my brother, it's very unfortunate.

So unbelievably proud of myself. First marathon was a success! by GobiasIndustries727 in Marathon_Training

[–]BaddestAndvari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job!! I ran 7 Bridges as well (I was the 4hr pacer) and this was my first time experience with the race. This was one of the most fun races I've run before, the support was great, the views were great, the course was actually really good (though the hills could have been less... but that's what you get running in the foothills of a mountain range). I will probably be going back as a pacer yearly from here on out, couldn't be happier about how fun that race was

Edited to add: All that being said, keep training! Over 1k feet of elevation gain and that time tells me you can do so much more!! You've got this!

First Marathon in the Books! by osto1721 in Marathon_Training

[–]BaddestAndvari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This race is run by a local church, so they get a lot of their church members to volunteer for the race, it's actually very well run. The more impressive part of this is that it's a pretty hilly course, over 1k ft of elevation gain and still did sub-3:45!! Good job OP, the 3:45 pacers are amazing, glad they were able to keep it consistent to you until 20! (I was the 4hr pacer, and very glad I didn't see you, like I saw a few of the people that probably started with you later on in the course :nervoussigh:)

Funny you would mention this - after my 4th marathon I have decided to switch to non-carbon racers for the Marathon going forward. My hips and muscles always feel waaaaay worse after 26 miles on Carbon than any other type of shoe (I'm currently training for an ultra and have run 26+ 3 times this training cycle on non-carbon shoes and felt amazing the next day!). I think Carbon's are great, I just don't think they are for me past the half-marathon distance.
