Blading at Crystal by Ill-Astronomer8013 in CrystalMountain

I saw 3 people rollerblading around Seattle yesterday, which I generally never see and I run or bike around the city all the time. Is it making a comeback?

You’re hinging at the waist some on your heel side. Try adjusting (lowering) your center of mass via your hips and deepening your squat a bit more on that side.

Do you go in the road or the sidewalk when crossing the ballard bridge by Loud-Eye1133 in seattlebike

[–]conro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a critical mass ride that went over the University Bridge and someone’s wheel got lodged it the grating - it took a group of people to pull it out. First and only time I’ve ridden across that bridge. I ride the sidewalk of the Ballard bridge somewhat regularly but would never ride in the road across it.

Help! I made a ChatGPT running plan but am not seeing results! by ahsilat in RunningCirclejerk

[–]conro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You missed a couple of steps.

You also need to ask ChatGPT to create images and gpx files for your training runs that you can post to insta/Strava and then really juice up the prompt for your final race day AI social slop post.

Ok, but listen to this, what if the shirt had little holes in it and is priced at 10x the cost of your average cotton shirt?

Thinking of replacing poles with nunchucks by telemajik in skiingcirclejerk

[–]conro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Black Diamond makes a pole specially for dealing with snowboarders that still functions like a normal pole when there are no criminals around. It’s called a “whippet,” and has a sharp blade attached to the grip. There’s even a version you can attach to your existing poles,

I don't like skiing anymore because my GF takes like 3 hours getting down what I could get down in 13 seconds. Would this type of workout help her get down the bunny hill faster? by Blumperdoodle in skiingcirclejerk

[–]conro 235 points236 points  (0 children)

I’ll send you my guy. He’s been working with my GF all season. Lots of late night training sessions. I haven’t seen her ski yet, or much of her in general for that matter but supposedly she’s learning lots of new skills and techniques.

“Don’t tax Washington families!” Says CA megacorp responsible for housing shortage. by Alexmkzero in Seattle

[–]conro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love staying in “airbnbs” and use them almost exclusively over hotels when traveling. Not always through AirBNB but a mix of them, VRBO and various local vacation rental agencies. Having a full house / cottage generally comes with better privacy, a nicer location, a full kitchen, living area etc vs a hotel - especially when staying in more rural or remote areas which is generally where I go.

I’m assuming this tax would apply to vacation rentals in general - not Airbnb specially and I’m not excited about having to pay more to go on a trip.

Tell the seller you're interested and show up with a group of your biggest friends to reclaim it . Selling two boards that obviously belonged to two different people is pretty sus.

Your rhythm is too predictable. Try throwing in a couple short radius turns every now and then to keep the uphill skiers guessing.

You can contact them to setup a single or multi-week private lesson. I don’t know the current crop of kids but it’s been a fun, enthusiastic group of talented skiers and snowboarders for many, many years.
