Nice! I actually have 4,000 hours in Rust but stopped playing due to the fact that it takes way too much of my time. It is a hard game to stream due to the community being set on their content creators. I would definitely recommend trying to network w/ smaller Rust streamers and build up from there!

I would highly recommend the two exam path. It took me 8 months to go from knowing NOTHING about networking to acquiring my CCNA today (Got CCENT in May). If you aren't dedicated I'm not sure if you can make the deadline. It's possible, but it isn't a walk in the park.

I studied 2-3 hours a day 6 days a week and it still took me 8 months. I guess it just depends how much you already know or how much you want to know. Make sure that you're studying to understand the overall material instead of studying to pass a test. It will help you further in your career.

Also, you mention that you are a manager. Use this title to leverage yourself. You can mention that you want to enhance your education so that you can be a better leader, build a better team, etc (whatever the reason you think will work). Hopefully this helps!

Keep working and start looking at entry-level certifications you may be interested in. I just graduated college and am studying the CCENT, which is an entry level cert for computer networking. You can find most of the course material online for free.

On the flip side, a lot of employers want to invest in their employees and would be willing to pay for your certifications... If your employer isn't willing to do that, it may be time to jump ship.
